Led for 5x5

Hello, I’ve been looking at getting a 5x5 tent and have been held up deciding how to light it. Seems that a lot of led lights are tailored for 4x4’s.

With that being said the roi-e720 and enlite Ceres 780 Both look decent for around the $1000 mark for 5x5 flower. Is there any other quality options I’m not aware of on the market? Budget is around $1000. I’m trying to stay away from gavita as I heard Monsanto bought them out.

I thought I’d post this before I jump the gun and miss a better light than the 2 mentioned above. Any other brands or thoughts and ideas for lighting a 5x5 would be appreciated.

Get a Mars Hydro! All the HLG fanboys here will always harp about HLGs but Mars is legit. Affordable and already put together.

Yeah I was looking at running 2 of the sp3000’s and maybe a couple Samsung strips with it for the 5x5. From reviews I’ve seen those are hard to beat.

The growers choice 720 is what I'd get. I think the strip lights have better coverage than a QB style light. And a 5x5 needs a bit higher watts than the 500-650 watts of most other fixtures.

I think your rite about strips covering better, more evenly than qbs. Less of a middle(hot spot) like you get with square fixtures.

I’ve noticed from looking at the par readings strip lights do seem to be superior. The growers choice has a 3 year warranty and the company seems legit enough that it will be around for the next 3 years. Also it has a better spectrum for flower which has me leaning towards it.

Maybe investigate Mars Hydro before making a purchase. I can only act like an HLG Fanboi and tell you that you should view the Youtube reviews of the newish (Apr 2020) HLG 650R before you make a decision.
Maybe you too can become an HLG fanboy?

Mars is legit in what way exactly? They self-admittedly don't use top bin diodes, and also use lower end drivers, so that right there is 20% less light for the same wattage vs what an HLG fanboi would run.

Man, mars guys are to lights what some beer drinkers are to natty light. Don't make sense but they sell a bunch....lol

Never used them before but GrowLights Australia (Full spectrumish) is a good one to look into.
I do use them, HLG (High Electrical Efficiency) is nice.
I do use them, Amare Tech (Broad Spectrum including UVA+IR Now) is nice & has their Bar-6 LUV available on Pre-Order for 950.
