Help plant is sick

So my best friend is growing with me and learning my methods.
She called me over because she said half her plant is drooping.
Now mind you everything is the exact mix as mine and infact it's a clone from me.

I barely removed top of the soil and roots are white and very healthy looking. Her soil is moist but not wet. Stalk and stems all seem intact and strong.
I did notice tho a month ago that the plant just basically slowed down in growth. I dont see any signs of bugs or anything else that could be causing this so I'm stumped.

Any ideas at all?

Borer in the stalk?the squash vine borer is a bad one. Look for holes in the stalk or branches

That was what I was thinking as well but wanted a second opinion. Soooo those branches should probably be cut ? I've never had that problem so I want to make sure I give her the right advice
I would look close at the branches in question from the tip down slowly paying special attention to the bracts lower down and see if there is a hole( it is small ) then probe it with a paper clip . I have also heard of injections of spinosad or bt working . Or once sure it’s a goner chop affected section and burn it and spray with spinosad or bt ( the strain for borers)

Does the wilting side of the plant get the most sun? I follow this guy on instagram named nuggynic, dude grows unbelievable plants.. Remember seeing a post about one of his doing the same half wilt thing. Im not 100% sure if he got it in order or not but theres a pretty decent discussion about it on the post, might be worth checking out.

Check the surrounding soil for moles or other small burrowing animal (look for raised burrows on the surface from where it’s been tunneling around). I’ve heard of them causing issues like this too.

See that was my first thought is a critter eating roots. Won't know for sure until harvest and I tear apart the soil to find out! I will be chopping off a branch and dissecting it as well to check for bugs. Ugh sooo frustrating! Especially when that plant was the most vigorous and big and then boom it just stopped. Then this all the sudden. I will find out before this is all done and share because I want other growers to know too incase it happens to someone else.

Hmm...interesting and thanks for the share. On my end tho the plant isnt having any deficiencies that I see. No striping or purpling. Leaves seem very healthy (the ones not wilting)
And it's not been hot here at all. Mid 80s in the day time and 60s at night. The side wilting is the side getting the morning sun, and they dont bounce back when it cools off. So I am still stumped. Hope he figured it out Tho.

The only thing I do know is it doesn't appear to he anything at all wrong with roots or stalk. Just below the hay and maybe a half inch below the soil it was just massive amounts of bright white roots....just thriving.

I've seen strains do it from indoors going out before but not clones
Almost like it's not sun hardened but for s do long...I'd leave to see how it goes for a while
Okay I will tell her to keep the scissors down. Thank you ;)
As always you are the best.
