Hey sup first time grower here, so soz if it's a common one but rather be safe than sorry, anyhow I've got question regarding nutes and the lack of in coco (i'm using canna) basically I was wondering if it was needed to add nutes from the start or is it just a case of watering till they're bit more mature? mine are currenly just coming up to a week has it's 2nd proper set of flowers coming along nicely so yeah she's still super young and having done research and still kind of unsure when to actually start so any advice would be sweet!

Feeding her @ 250-300 ppms
8 days old from sprout
Coco coir / rockwool
(I usually don’t feed nutes until around the second week)
I started nutes @200 ppms when she spouted this time

Awesome ty for the quick replies guys nice one for clearing it up also if i'm feeding till run off is that gonna effect the root growth? or just don't let it run off down the middle where the baby roots are? if that makes sense lol

I use a spray bottle the first few days
As long as you keep your coir moist... runoff comes quick but it’s not necessary rn

It looks like you have a good perlite mix in the coco so you really cannot over water them, that is one reason I love coco. Because of that your roots will be fine and always have oxygen. There are also coco pellets out there for starting seeds in if you want to check them out, I love them and they are less restrictive on roots than things like rockwell cubes and rapid rooters. The folks here gave you great advise. I use GH products and for my seedlings I go with 1/4 strength or a little less for first few weeks. The seed has enough stored energy to feed itself for around 2 weeks already but I find with the low concentration I use it does not hurt the plant. Good luck and happy growing. I just cut one down last night
No perlite at all, just coir in a 5 gal cloth pot.
Watered once every two days up until the last few weeks when they were drinking heavily.
Results were phenomenal

Congrats, I love to hear of people's successes. I know many don't use perlite, I do as it provides more o2 for the roots but that is just my preference. I only have one plant now in my 5X5 tent and am waiting for her to finish but it is also going well. She drinks a ton daily. I think she will be a decent producer if she ever finishes. Silly little lady take up the whole tent, lol. :peace: Early Miss.jpg

You have any support for those leaners?
I’ve had to support a lot of my buds with strings or trellises
I feel the more weight that’s been lifted off them helps allow for her to pack more on.
Looking pretty good
Slightly more N than I’d like but hey they look hell of a lot better than most pics I see on here

Is that using RO water mate? my water comes in at like 200 ppm should i just lay back on the nutes till she's grown a bit more?
No mine is from tap.
7.1 ph out with around 40-50 ppms.
In your case I’d use ro water with 1/4 strength.
You wouldn’t have to use ro water the whole time, just for the first couple weeks and probably switch back to tap (unless your tap water is no good)
You can find that info from your local water company

Oh ok nice pretty good tap water then :P yeah my tap water is pretty decent live the UK so tends to be a pretty decent standard all over i'll just be careful on the extra nutes then

Yes, there is a net in there which has been moved up since the pic was taken. I have also lowered the GH FloraMicro to lower the Nitrogen. Hoping that will help. Still dialing in the amounts, it's a work in progress.
