TL;DR - Fuck anyone that says Seedsman isn't the shit. They came through for me.

I received my replacement seeds from Seedsman today.

I'm fairly sure I fucked up my own seeds the first time and there was almost 8 months between my order from them and me contacting them to complain about them and they gave me zero hassle, zero questions, were polite, and said they would replace the seeds.

Now, I'm a sceptic. I've been told things would be replaced or repaired for various other shit I had to contact various places for over the years and been lied to or burned many times before so when Seedsman customer service said they would reship the order I said "That's great, thank you." but I was thinking this was probably bullshit.

I get an email Aug 5th said the order was shipped, no tracking number. I'm thinking this is a BS email so they can say well we shipped them, sorry they didn't get to you. #NotSorry.

Well, the email was legit. The seeds arrived in Friday's mail (picked up today).

All the seeds look good so we'll see how they grow the next round I do.

That's great to hear, took them 6 days to even reply to my last email. Been waiting a month for my order to arrive, still waiting. It's my first order from them and everything I read before ordering said they were about the slowest place on the planet to order from so I was expecting a ridiculous wait time. It will be worth it if they ever arrives, fingers crossed. Glad to hear their customer service worked for you, that give me a good feeling.

Orders to the states are crazy. I made an order Nov 30. I have to wait until Jan 15 to resubmit my trouble ticket. Expect a loooooong wait time.

Yeah I'll be steering clear of Seedsman from here, I had awesome orders (15 or so) with them a few years back but recently (last 6 mths), had 3 orders confiscated, one of them both resends as well. Whatever their 'stealth' method is, it ain't working! I've had other orders come in from UK, Spain and US with no issues!

I've ordered from Seedsman a few times over the years with no problems to the US. It takes a little while but that is to be expected. Ordered some Blimburn Grandaddy Purple about 6 months ago. Seeds didn't pop, so contacted them and they sent new ones. Have some growing now that is top notch. Ordered some seeds about 2 weeks ago that has been stuck at the Chicago post office since Jan 25th so hope that wasn't confiscated.

I actually have a seed order held up in Chicago for the same length of time, I'm glad I saw your post. They are probably just backed up. They only check less than 3% of packages.

As good as they are to deal with and honour re-ships and whatnot, doubts were raised when they sent me a bunch of Greenhouse Seeds Super Silver haze as freebies. I run a few of them and they most definitely are not anything like what Super Silber Haze looks like. Just some random short dense indica. I mean, can't really complain about free seeds but it was a bit of a bummer. Plus their seeds never get to me any more (AU) so doubt I'll use them again. I've lost bout 5 orders from them.

Where are you getting this "less than 3% get checked" from? That's mathematically impossible with the orders I had confiscated. There is no way I just happened to fall into that 3% on 7 out of 10 orders. No one is that unlucky. They have x-ray machines with algorithms that pick out anomalies and those packages get sent to a secondary inspection system that then get observed more closely by a person with a higher resolution x-ray machine that can be focused to various depths within the package and through material. When they visually confirm the flagged anomaly they open the package to inspect it. I actually saw part of the process on an episode of Drugs Inc. They were dumping rubbermaid storage tubs with thousands of breeders packs into a big metal container that was hauled off by forklift to be incinerated.

They ARE backed up. They have been since the pandemic started but they aren't just shoving stuff through to clear the backlog. There was a recent article I just saw that stated they are trying to double the size of their inspection team. If you mean they only INSPECT 3% of packages, that could be closer to accurate but that 3%(probably a little higher and variable than just 3%)has a lot of technology and resources behind it focusing the targeted packages down to a fine point. They have dogs running over conveyor belts with packages. I had to stop ordering from Attitude and Seedsman 8-9 years ago after both of their stealth options were burnt by people posting too many details online. You can still see unboxing videos on YouTube from 10 years ago. I'm sure their scanners have advanced since then as well. About 3 years ago they went agro and started specifically focusing on controlled substances(which our beloved beans still fall under the category of federally) and you see an enormous spike in google results for "Chicago confiscated beans/seeds". The article below talks about them finding a trace amounts of fentanyl measuring as just a few grains.

I haven't had any problems since the explosion of US based seedbanks. Most dropship or resell discounted bulk orders from UK and Spanish seedbanks. Some breeder's packs still have price tag stickers in euros on them. In the early days there were a bunch of shady scammers and inconsistent service from the reputable ones. Many were weeded out(hehe)and the cream rose to the top. In the last few years, with legalization in several states, you have started to see a second wave of every pollen chucker out there trying to cash in on the rising market. If you happen to be in the 11 states that Chicago CPB services, your better of just going with reliable established US banks now. JBC, Seedsherenow, Neptune and Greatlakes have never let me down. Most have your beans to you in 3-5 days, there is no customs involved, and customer service is top notch.

It's a damn shame that I can legally grow now but still have to use a bunch of cloak and dagger spy tradecraft crap just to get some good genetics. Since it's still illegal federally, I still have to use generalized terminology while corresponding with them and never mention germination because they are still violating federal laws if they knowingly supply me with the means to violate those laws. It removes their plausible deniability.
