So I have a room set up, just finished my first run and Im hoping you guys will take a look and give me any ideas/tips/tricks about my setup. which setup out of the two you guys think is best. and anything that you would change(small changes, as I have already finished my first run in this room and everything is already set up accept for the duct work because I tore it down to add a filter/fan and general upgrades.)

The room is a spare bedroom I believe its 10x12 with 8 foot cealing.
running one scrog under a 600w air cooled MH/HPS
and a couple 20 gal pots under a 1000w air cooled MH/HPS

I also have an AC that I did not include in the diagrams.
check out my artwork and let me know what you think lol.

Thanks in advance.room1.jpgroom2.jpg

Room 1 is less likely to have high humidity spots. Best way to really know what works is get a few hygrometers placed at different spots to see what you get; three or more hygrometers to get a good idea of what's going on.

I havent had much of a problem with humidity, im more concerned about controlling heat. especially now since im in southern cali and its been in the high 80's this week.

I considered doing a 1/2 sealed setup where I pump fresh air in at night while the lights are on, and seal the room durring the day while they sleep, and supplement with c02. any thoughts?

That’s what I do. Fresh air comes on for 15 mins every hour during lights out and is filtered back out thru a small 4” carbon filter. When the lights come on I run fully sealed with a CO2 generator. Working great for me so far. Make sure you get a good dehumidifier and to filter the fresh air and a minisplit is a must. Trust me, I tried making a portable AC work and it wasn’t enough.

You're the 3rd person today to tell me to get a dehumidifier, but I never had an issue with humidity on my last run. I basically ran what I have in the pictures but with no ducting through the hoods, just a fresh air intake that was on 24hours and an exhaust that was on 24 hours.

That all changes when you run a sealed set up with CO2.

Edit: I just read your post that said you wanna run CO2 while the plants sleep. That’s a waste of money. You only run CO2 when the lights are on. It’s useless during lights out.

Make sure you have your climate control 100% dialed in before you seal up and run CO2 or you’re gonna have a bad time

well, since I dont need to run CO2 durring lights out, im going to cut out CO2 all together. just run fresh air while the lights are on, then probably cycle for 10 min at a time while they sleep, something like that.

Just keep it constantly cycle if you aren’t sealing up for CO2. CO2 is worth it though. Especially if you get a natural gas generator. My gas bill went up $10/month since I got mine.
