Hi everyone im new to the site and would like to say hello. Ive been growing for about a year now and im about to start a big one. Ive been restricted to a closet with a 400watt hps , but now i can finally use a whole room. Ive gotta 1000watter and 2 400watters and was wondering how far these should be apart to get the best use of the light. Also how many plants should i grow under my 1800watts?
i have 5 fem white widow fems comin ne day now:blsmoke:
any advice on another good strain? i would like a quick flowering indica with high yield and THC content
thanks for all the help

I'd say you can fit 9 under each 400, and 16 under the 1000 in 5 gal pots... 3ft x 3ft for the 400W, up to 5ft x 5ft for the 1000W... Depending on room size, I'd put the 1000W in the middle and a 400 on each side.

Another good SUPER fast strain is Silver Pearl, it's from SensiSeedbank. 45 days and it's done. It's skunk x northern lights x early pearl.

thanks for all the info some interesting stuff their. Do you think i realy need to worry about the smell? I was planning on just burning incest for the last month lol (insert embarrased smiley face)
I was thinking of planting more along the lines of 10 plants then 36 tbo lol. Wouldnt you get the same yield from growing fewer and larger plants? I was planning on using 85L pots or 22gallons, ive seen the boys at green house seeds grow 400g from one white widow plant, and im hoping for 400g from my arjans ultra haze. My goal for this opp is 900g every 3 months so i figure if i plant 10 trees i needs just 90g a plant, very doable. What kind of yield would i expect to see if i did use 36 plants?
Thanks again for all the help

No, no worries about cops, just don't tell anyone about your grow.

As far as having more plants vs fewer large plants... You'll have to account for veg time, with more smaller plants in a SOG, you'll have a quicker turn around, and more harvests in a years time. Yield usually depends on sq feet, so as long as you maintain an even canopy, the results should be the same, big or small... That's what I've found in my experience.

Haven't grown Arjan's haze, but the SS haze is a bit tricky... Good luck with it.

Do you completely cut out the veg stage when you grow sog? i only veg for 3 weeks and it gives you a nice 3 foot plant

ive decided to go with a 16 plant set-up, 4 under each 400 and 8 under the 1000 watter, 4 diff strains. The smell is going to be a problem ill have to give that article another look

Idk, I also veg for a couple weeks from clone then flower.

I don't understand what the arrangement of plants will be, but you honestly could fit more in the area. You should have about 40 square feet of light coverage. Utilize every square inch possible. Also, you might want to try out a few 5gal buckets, you'll have to water more often, but those bigass containers are going to be difficult to move, once you're finished etc. Plus their footprint is probably quite large and a waste of space... Whatever, do what you think will work best. ;)
