Then place it in a ziploc baggie with a bubble of air in it.Then place it in a starter dome with the bottom covered with water and There should be some sort of liner for jiffy's or something so there is space between the water and the bag. I keep my thermostat set at 85 degrees. I hope this helps and it works for me. Peace.

Lol, Been popping seeds for about 5 years. I don't claim to be an expert but am consistent. I have successfully popped enough seeds to know whether or not I get a bad batch. Explain to me how I can germ multiple strains from different folks at the same time and have all of them germ just fine with the exception of Dr Greenthumb seeds? Oh did I mention I use the same method for all seeds and have "Never" had a failure rate close too Dr Greenthumb's product. Glad you have had good luck with his stuff. To bad you have to ding on others who have had terrible luck with his stuff.

Lol, well like I said earlier i also had cracked seeds in my gorilla glue and almost all of them didnt sprout, I never did business with them again and never will..

I still have his turkish cookies and ecsd and they both sprout fine, in fact I just sprouted a ecsd two years since i got them and its still fine...Telling someone to learn how to sprout seeds is laughable..I can sell you seeds for ten years and give you all good germ rates then ill screw you once and then you can go learn how to sprout seeds

I ordered a pack of Iranian G13 and Lemon Pie Thai seeds from Dr Greenthumb last year. I tried to germinate half of each pack and not one germinated. I was really mad at the time but I always want to be sure of things before going off half cocked on a forum or contacting the seller.

Turns out it was completely my fault. It turns out I used too much water on the paper towels and the seed mat was a little defective as it measured out at almost 100 degrees F. I basically drowned and cooked my beans. I probably gave the peas in my ham soup more love than the seeds I ordered.

This year I used a lot less water on the paper towel and used a mat with a thermostat and kept the temp at about 78 degrees give or take. All seeds sprouted.

Just wanted to pass this on and am glad I did not go Trump on someone that did not deserve it at the end of the day.

Dr greenthumb canada is still around this day and age, this guys genetics are wack. Dudes a scammer. Literally couldn't pay me to grow this guys trash. Such better options, stay away people!

I'm adding my experience here since I went through this thread before ordering from Dr. Greenthumb this year for the first time. Frankly, this thread would have probably changed my mind if not for one thing, I live near him in Ontario, so, I assumed his outdoor suited strains were grown, tested and finished in exactly my climate.
So I ordered and received his Iranian Diesel, Iranian G-13, Iranian Autoflowers and his Gorilla Glue #4's. In my case, I received 3-5 extra seeds per strain.
I have germinated seeds exactly 5 times only with reasonable success in my opinion. 90% ish. Most pop, the odd one doesn't kinda thing.
So I germinated 20 seeds, 19 popped but I noticed two of their tails had a yellowish tinge and I couldn't get those girls to sprout any more once dropped in their medium. So, 17 out of 20. 1 Iranian g-13 didn't pop and two gorilla glues had the yellow tails.
That said, we'll be harvesting some big and beautiful autos this week and this heat wave is making some backyard monsters out of the diesels and the g-13's who have just started to flower so we'll see how they finish. The gorilla glues, growing indoors, have also just been flipped to flower.
Before ordering, I couldn't find much online for photos or videos of Dr Greenthumbs genetics in the wild, so, if anyone is interested, I have made weekly video updates on them all since they went outside on youtube at suburban herb. Or theres some pics on instagram at suburban.herb

Me and a my bud started having trouble with germination on more than one variety. Cant recall all variety s but one was blue dream. Never go back too many other breeders out there now.

Can’t speak for anytime recently but I popped his bubba og about 10 years ago and it’s still around ‍♂.

I’ve also popped strains from cannarado, tested for seedjunky, in-house, alien and the list goes on and on...

To this day the bubba og are the best seeds I’ve ever popped. I took my 10 year old pheno a few months back and reversed it and made crosses with my frozen gelato that’s in the process of growing up as we speak. I’ve seen all the Instagram hype weed and it doesn’t hold a candle to bubba og on the smell or taste or potency. A lot of these pretty pictures are actually weak air buds when you smoke them and the bubba og isn’t. You smoke that bubba og you are going the fuck to sleep and if it had a better look it would shut all this shit down out here right now guaranteed but it’s ok I’m working on that right now that’s why I picked the gelato to cross it with.

I grew bubba years ago..only pic I have is my avvy ..man I fuckin loved that shit.. everyone who smoked it was happy as well..one of my top 3 favorites for sure !

For sure I had a pre 98 before bubba og that was the best bubba ever but this bubba og is right up there with it that I found from doc back in like 2010. For about the last 10 years anybody who’s smoked it has gave it all kinds of compliments it really is some shit you don’t see everyday anymore.

I was really excited about this... I have grown over 40 strains over 12 years and I have been smoking everyday for 37 years. I have a 99%+ success rate popping seeds. I got 3 Emdog seeds based on how awesome B-Real said it was on Youtube. I pop one at a time as I am woking 12 strains at a time always looking for the holy grail. The first did not pop, the second one did and grew like a madman, 3x faster than everyone else, easy to clone too, clone rooted in just a few days. Several issues, the first is there are no crystals, not one, but not a deal breaker either! Second, the buds are pointy, airy and skinny. Third, and this is the worst, it tasted horrible, total diesel throat burn, I threw the joint out after 2 hits. My expert opinion is that the strain is unstable, producing unpredictable offspring that obviously doesn't match what B-Real is smoking. I only grew one pheno, I will post a photo soon, it looks nothing like anything I ever grew or saw before, like a fake Christmas tree. In it's defense, there could have beed a mixup during packaging, or I just got a shitty pheno. I am hesitant to try the last seed. Anyone else with Emdog issues? Emdog success?

Has anybody been in contact or done business with Dr Greenthunb Seeds recently, it seems like they are not in business although the website is up. I have dealt with him in the past and wanted more seeds but now am not able to make contact.

Just germed 3 seeds in paper towel, 2 days later all three split, two days later all 3 popped the soil.

I've had exceptional good luck with Doc's seeds, I don't ever remember loosing a seed and I've grown 7 or 8 strains.
