Is This Powdery Mildew

This leaf showed up randomly, and when I find a leaf it's like - one little spot on one leaf out of the whole patch. A few days later, maybe another small, single, spot. I used to think it was bird pee, or some kind of critter excretion. Sock me with the news! Is it the dreaded PM?

Yes to the buds, but like I mentioned, I only found this one leaf. And one leaf a few days ago.

If thats all you got then you might be able to remove the effected leaf and ride it out. Might not tho...

Apart from what has been mentioned.
A 3% hydrogen peroxide solution (from the chemist). Into a spray bottle and then sprayed directly on the pm can work wonders.
It may not necessarily solve the whole problem ..but, it sure is fun watching that pm immediately bubble up and die.

There are UVC light solutions too, even a simple bulb from eBay works. However, MUCH care needs to be taken
