Veg cycle Alternative to RDWC

I have a RDWC setup that I wantt to compliment with a 4x4 veg tent and cloner. I have 4 buckets in a 5x5 right now. After making the mistake of using uniseals i have become a bit reserved about the quantity of water i have on my hardwood floor. I was wondering what other hydro methods i could set up and still transfer the netpots over to the flower tent when. I have 18gal buckets in bmy yent right now with 8in pots. the cloner Is basically a type of aeroponics right? Can aero be switched over to rdwc? The goal is to use less water is this doable or do i need to go rdwc the entire process

can you take a piece of rubber sheet from LOW'S and some hotbglue, cut your own gaskets from it to solve the problem??

sory, i only caught a quick glance of them on another thread. the guy had to cut rubber sheet up to make seals for his uniseals i just assumed it was a simple case of resealing the fittings. but there new to me

Yeah a uniseal won't work with any sort of gasket. They fit in the hole and your pipe slides in the uniseal, similar to a grommet and a barbed fitting. The sealing surface is around the perimeter of the uniseal. If your hole isn't perfect they leak. Bulkhead fittings are 10 times better than a uniseal, you screw them down tight and the seal happens in both sides of the container hole.

They make slipfit bulkheads that you can glue the PVC pipe into, and the threaded ones for pipe with threaded ends.

maybe something like a high walled flood and drain table for your netpots before they go to rdwc??
Does the ebb and flow use a lot less H2O? I am using the clay marbles as my mefium. Any idea if any other hydroponics methods use them as well? I started with 18 gal bins and figure i can drop down to 5 gal for the veg tent if i have to remain using rdwc on both

if you get your leaking fixed, rdwc for veg would probably be the fastest.

you could set up the ebb/flow with feed lines to the top of each net pot and recirculate the water as it drips down below into the bottom res.

personally, i'd go rdwc to rdwc.

Bulkheads are a wise investment and that is an understatement. Your hardwood floor will thank you.

Check out the bucket company ESP they have new lids coming out soon that will hold a net pot like 4 or 6in I believe they will be not sure yet... i switched from my current culture rdwc to the bucket company and I am sooooo glad I did esp w a finished basement I had 50 or 150gal depending on the system of water 247 veg or bloom so wen a leak and a problem does happen I'd rather not have to deal with that bullshit so I switched...Also getting some water alarm sensors will do you WONDERS they have one that will send a alert to ur phone too and have a alarm they are like 60 with 3 sensors I'm gna pick one up over just my cheap $5 water alarm but it works but only when ur home and the app one would be thee way to go and a nice piece of insurance it wont ruin your house or kill your plants in the process as well as that's a double kick in the nuts to say thee least.. I also cut my power by 1/3rd and no more loud ass air pumps either soooo glad I switched and when the lids come out will be a game changer too esp not having to clean all this media also they will be a 2 piece lid so transplanting will be a piece of cake !!!!!!!
