What do you have space for? a carbon filter can remove the smell of whatever you put in the tent. Not 100% sure how long they last, I'm guessing a year or 2.. depending on usage. I have a 2x4 tent with a 4inch carbon filter and it's doin fine. No odors outside the tent.

I have the space for about 7ft high 4ft long and 3 feet width it’s a decent closet. I have time since my plant is not even a week old just need it before it flowers.

If you run a filter at max cfm rating and its a quality filter it will last 18month.
If you use a bigger filter or reduced cfm it will last several years.
If you vent the heat outside you wont smell it, if its 99.5% effective and vented in the house you might smell it.

dont knock pussy grabbing, it can be very satisfying lol what size tent you got to play around with
I haven’t bought anything yet. But my growing season is over and will need it as smell proof as possible. Only need room for one plant. I guess the smell only matters for the flowering period tho.

Most plants will smell in veg too, some more than others. Its a distinct smell but nothing in comparison to flowering.

Yeah I smoke a lot of weed I barley have a smell for it anymore (only when I’m smoking it I smell it lol) but people complained near the end of flowering last time.
That just means you didnt have the proper amount of airflow for negative pressure or your carbon filter was spent. Done correctly there will never be any odor outside the growing area.

I never used a grow tent I’m wanting to buy one and carbon filter.will need it next time because won’t be able to have my window open during winter. I have tent figured out. I’m kinda confused on how carbon filter works.

simple, you put an inline fan on the end of it. It sucks their through it. The carbon absorbs all the smell.
and if you put it in the tent and exhaust the air outside of the tent, you get negative pressure (suction) in the tent. This means odor can't escape the tent except by making it past the carbon filter. The only way it does that is if you are pulling the air too fast for the filter or the filter is bad.

Don't cheap out on the inline fan. You need enough CFM to exchange your air a couple times a minute at least not to mention that it needs to be able to pull the air at that rate thru the carbon filter. . More if you want to have better heat/RH control. I have 2 tents in one room... no odors whatsoever.

Thanks. I didn't know that was possible. (Pulling air too fast)
