What is this

Ok, well for one thing I am not a big fan of half strength nutes. Some manufacturers do recommend a stronger than recommended feed but without a PPM reading I can't say.

Your feed appears to be high in nitrogen (dark leaves) and in flower we want to taper off the nitrogen and ramp up the P & K.

I am also not a fan of flushing, but thats another subject.
I appreciate all hints. I’ll ramp up the PK with using fox farm I’ll have to see which one has the most. Next round would you say to use full strength off that schedule? I’m definitely down to try it. I need a PPM reader. That was a hiccup on my end.
I’m interested to know about your outlook on the flush. Thanks again

I’m starting week 5 into flower.
Hmm, they look under developed for 5 weeks but some strains take longer in early flower / stretch. What strain is it may I ask? 5 weeks from flip? These plants have, from the looks of it, at least another 6 weeks to go, target a mid flower feed, medium nitrogen and high P & K. Later we will taper the nitrogen and P. Also what light is that, it could be part of the underdevelopment issue.

I want to be around 1000 - 1100 PPM at 0.5 conversion (EC of 2.0 - 2.2) during flower until the last few weeks when I am switching to a ripening feed, low N, medium P, high K.

A reliable PPM and pH meter is your friend. Since you are growing in soil I would highly recommend a pH meter that can measure the soil as well as liquids, the Blue Lab Soil pen is a great tool to have. Make sure to grab calibration solution and storage solution for whatever pH meter you get. Please feel free to run purchases by us before you buy, we can save you from repeating mistakes others have made. lol

Let me send some updated pictures out of light. Because this is my first time. I went with well bag seeds next round I do have some auto flowering. Anyway I have a 450w on 3 plants. (This May be a book so I apologize in advance) I have the carbon filter and duct fan set up. A fan in the upper corner. I was reading that they double or triple in size so I switched 12/12 at around a month from seed. They are at the end of week 4 now and start of week 5 tomorrow. I will send pictures

uggghhh... I hate both of those options. Bag seed begets bag seed and autos are just retards. lol

We light square footage and how many plants fit in that is dependent on plant size. How many square feet are you lighting and with what light? You have a link to the light? some LED manufacturers claim a wattage thats much greater than what it actually draws.

Yes with optimal growing conditions they should at least double and often triple in size after flip. Most of that in the first 3 weeks after flip, then its mostly fattening up buds with a little more elongation of branches. Inadequate lighting often shows up at flip, you can veg fine with moderate amounts of light but when we flip to flower we want more intense light and I suspect there may have been a shortage in this area.

If I sound like a prick it's not my intention, I am just blunt and I do wanna help.

You don’t sound like a prick. Blunt honestly is my liking. I know it’s my first grow and isn’t going to be perfect. I enjoy it and to me that’s all that matters. I would also like to fix mistakes for the next round. It’s all learning in this phase.

You have the right attitude. :) Never stop learning, I still learn new stuff all the time.

It definitely looks like it could have used more light, and longer veg time. I do want to say though that for a first time grow you have done very well, the plant looks much healthier than my first grow did. You haven't toasted it with too much food or heat. So thats a big plus.

There is some good yield potential there for sure, if you can pull it off without stressing the plant you may go to a larger pot, root mass = fruit mass.

Only attitude to have. Shit I have no idea what I’m doing. But I read a lot and ask input from wonderful people like you which makes all the difference. I have this other little light maybe 60w that’s made for bloom I could add in it. I didn’t originally because I wasn’t sure I would need it. I’ve tried to keep everything at a stable grow. I wasn’t concerned from the start for a big yield. Just that I can get it to grow, bud and smoke it lol but again it’s been a fun journey. And I know this is crucial time so I don’t want to blow what all I have done. Lol but thank you man much appreciated

What’s your thoughts on cutting some of these fan leafs ?
If you have a fuller / bushier plant I would say yes but I think we are lacking light intensity and this has cause them to be a little lanky and lean. I wouldn't be cutting any leaves off of these with perhaps the exception of those largest fans that are blocking lower branches however it could also be considered to leave those fan leaves and just lollipop the bottom branches off since they probably don't get enough light that far from the light regardless of those fan leaves or not. Kinda a toss up there. I think I would be leaning towards lollipopping on those of if this is the only plant maybe do nothing just leave the scissors alone lol.

Less is often more, especially for new growers, but we don't learn without trying things. If you have more than one plant, what I would suggest in your case is to do one plant one way, defoliate the biggest fans that are blocking lower nodes, then on another plant leave those fans and lollipop by removing the lower branches that won't get much light and leave one plant alone entirely. This will let you see what you like, what works best for your grow. Of course different strains require different treatment. Most of the Capulator cuts I have ran require extensive defoliation, it's just leaves on leaves on more leaves lol His MAC1 mother is a leafy bitch, I grew that one and the Frozen Lemons and the OCD x M15 and all were candidates for multipass defoliation, couple times in veg, couple times in flower. Other strains are more spread out with way less leafy action. I typically consider days 20 - 23 of flower as being a great time to go in and defoliate / lollipop if required, by then you know whats what, most of the stretch being completed.

That's perfect and a great idea. Thanks for all your help and input. I'll lay off the nitrogen boost up the PK. Try the sticky traps and see if that's even a issue. I'm all about trying and expermenting. Out of the three. I topped one. Which happens to be my favourite plant. :)
