42* here now in my 10x30x10 greenhouse with the heater running, 37 outside at 6300 ft . Happens this time of year about every 3 years got down to 23* ambient temp outside in 2011 on the 11th according to my notes..

Cold is settling in here in Vt as well but no snow, and to be honest its only helping bring out the coloring in the budding herb, day time temps are still in high 70's to mid 80's with 50 degree night temps and basically no humidity in the air now. The minute it goes below 40 at night here we may be having issues but i dont forsee thay happening before mid october here which would be perfect for finishing up the outdoor anyways.

Well everything in my hoop house, in Illinois, is doing great. Some friends who are all the way outside aren't doing quite as well. But that has been mostly issues related to the wind and bugs, as opposed to the cooler weather. I'll make a few calls and ask some cats what they are seeing later today.
The bugs combined with this cold, wet weather does have me concerned for them though.
Over the weekend I looked at a few different plants for some people and ,,, oh dear God were there a bunch of bore worms. And they have been using bt. Hopefully after a little surgery those issues will be resolved. Oh the joys and perils of growing outside... A few more days of this boggy wet bs and it'll warm up again.

Right now I'm glad it's in the hoop house. My indoor area is in the basement and has been flooded twice in a week! This rain can stop anytime...errrggg! Lol, the boys and I hate being stuck inside all day. With the at home learning program going on recess time outside is important. Especially for their Mom and me!

Same lol. I gave up on any type of serious grow outside a few years back cuz of shitty fall weather amd pests. The last two summers I've been putting plants out in the middle of July strictly for pollen chucks/seed making.

Insane year here in MI. Record heat and sun. Wind like I have never seen. Explosion in borers, mealy bugs, aphids, grasshoppers and moths. Borers in my sunflowers bad. Citrus mealys in my girls. Ladybugs beat them in the end. Now rain, humidity and lows in the 50's. Hit 40's twice now. PM outbreak for everyone I know. 2 oil radiators in a 10x20 and I'm holding 75F. Need to add another circuit to add another heater. Hoping for a freak heat wave as an indian summer.

Yah crazy weather here in nor cal hella hot all day almost 100 and then around midnite I was outside and it got crazy cold felt amazing

You should try vegging indoor light on 24-7 put out after june 21 most plants go straight to flower done late august early sept. The last 2 seasons have been the best flower weather i have seen in yrs.

Nope, it's 97 degrees and not a cloud in the sky here. The humidity is about the same, whew! Sorry to hear about your cold snap but I have a friend in Telluride, Colorado that grows at high altitude and is successful with 40 acres of plants. I don't know what the issue is but we went to visit him in October and it was sunny and warm. Maybe it's Telluride and why he lives there actually. I have no solutions but I've heard that hearty plants can withstand a little cold just not for days and days and if left outside, you run the risk of the weather turning frozen and then, well... Gorgeous plant, BTW! Do you reveg it or is this an original plant? IDT I could ever get my plant to so that! Great job!

Same story down here in Mass.... Im loving this weather, that perfect hint of cold and great day time temps sure makes the plants pop. Favorite time of the year starting up soon.. These next weeks and months before its really cold, while the leaves are changing is heaven on earth to me.
Great job on the plants, Enjoy the rest of your season.
*PS maybe I can bug you about outdoor growing in VT/ME/NH.... really debating purchasing land up there but have stuck with MA because of plant limits, land in the berkshires area is more expensive than theacres I could get in NH, VT, ME... When does your typical outdoor season end? Do you grow anything other than MJ? which area of the state are you in? Thanks, Please PM if you dont feel comfortable with the area being public. Cheers.

When that cold front came through we were hit with 5 inches of snow overnite, some of the outdoor guys were hit pretty hard with branch breakage.
Smoke, thats what has been the worst where I am at. Sucks a lot worse for those in the fire. I am pretty lucky here, it's just desert, not much to burn anywhere near me. Dust storms can get bad in the windy days. I have seen the air be brown and have a hard time seeing more than 20 feet or so, tumbleweeds just flying.
