so this is my second grow and still facing issues, they always make it sound easy. Last time I had a problem with damping off, this time didn't water seeds enough to germinate. One plant just died i think through damping off again possibly. My soil isn't even soaked. I also have a problem with planting to far down. My God this isn't easy . I hate the fucking seedling phase, they are so problematic.

first, relax. Second, im positive its just a matter of over loving them. Thats the case 90% of the time.
You got plants now??

Thats my problem, I just need to relax. Its just stressful when other new people are saying they never killed a plant, and im having issues. Like most things in life, practice makes perfect.

HOW are you doing it?
Well first two never germinated so hit up the company. Second two died from a over watering/underwatering. The first seed never sprouted so dug him up and saw root was looking bad. So replanted, yet no results. The other started the same way under watered. So gave it tons of water, it germinated, but got skinny and shriveled up without doing much. Now our third possible dead one may be caused either by planting to deep or over watering. Im going to plant the seeds just a tiny bit from the surface.

I may be lucky, but I have very good (at or very close to 100%) germination by soaking the beans overnight or so in a shot glass with tap water and a drop of super thrive. I just poke them through the soil around twice the depth of the seed.

Cant remember when one didn’t pop and grow this way, although I’m sure I have had some not over the years.

Thats exactly what I'm doing now. Never had problems like that until this grow. I got to practice not panicking, planting the seed at the right depth, watering just enough to help with germination. I am being very careful with how I water this time. I think it may be my soil as well. Im using fox farm ocean soil. I find it weird how all it takes to over water my soil is damp soil, my soil isnt even soaked. Alot of pictures of overwatering I see, I see the soil usually soaked. May try coco next time

I generally have my soil pretty damp to start also. Have you tried watering with a mister or spray bottle for the first bit after they pop? This keeps me from getting the soil too wet in the beginning. May be worth a shot.

I’ve never used fox farm, can’t really say. I generally use promix bx with some Added perlite....but have even used mg or whatever potting mix happened to be available at the moment with no real difference in getting them going.

My soil has some serious issues. It may just be me, but i need to find a soil that is harder to over water. This seems way to easy to overwater
