Yea I just put the seed in it... I only have 3 gallon pot for final sizeIt's a little toasty in there and you have the heat pad under the dome.. which can work... did you just straight up drop a seed in the cube? didn't root it 1st? IMO if you are gonna put it in root riot... you may as well put it in a pot. Being an Auto.. I'd go straight into it's final pot. and put a makeshift dome over the pot til she sprouts up about an inch or 2. I only use root riot for clones. Never heard of anyone germinating in one. Maybe rockwool cubes.
It’s on the lowest settin it has.... around about what temp Nd rh should it be inside the dome!?!Just keep an eye out for that tap root. Once you see it transplant. Don't cook your seed with that heat mat.
is it too late to do that? For 15 yrs, I've simply placed a seed 3/8-1/2 inch deep in pre moistened medium, place on heat pad x 80 deg. 3-4 days, all good. Just germed 3 - 9 yr old seeds this way. Soaking, paper towels and fertility chants can't beat it.
Dunno. Any handling of a seed is not advised. But if you must, take extreme care to not damage any tail that may have shown...is it too late to do that?
Putting in water until sinks is just a pre req that speeds this up. I do this same thing except my extra step is soaking the seeds firstFor 15 yrs, I've simply placed a seed 3/8-1/2 inch deep in pre moistened medium, place on heat pad x 80 deg. 3-4 days, all good. yeah i soaked too my seeds for 8 hours before planting, can't harm anythingPutting in water until sinks is just a pre req that speeds this up. I do this same thing except my extra step is soaking the seeds first
Never more than 16hrs. But they usually sink by then. And usually about 2-3 days later I have a sproutyeah i soaked too my seeds for 8 hours before planting, can't harm anything
So just tray in darkness ?As @MickFoster suggests, lose the dome, You're asking for problems. Start bad, finish bad.
