Im planning to make a Battle Royale with 20-30 seedlings and grow the winner using ScrOG.

This is a rough drawing of my design. This will be my first ScrOG. I gathered some info from this guide https://www.growweedeasy.com/scrog-tutorial.

The hight of the cabinnet is very limited so for that reason I want to use a pot as short as possible.

If the pot has to be taller I can use CFLs with just a few LEDs since CFL can be closer to the plants, but I would like to use only LEDs if possible.

There are going to be a few PC fans to blow on the plant and an exaust fan with carbon filter somewhere, I just havent though this yet.


Im not sure a about some things:

1. How will that short of a pot affect the development of the plant? Is it going to be a problem?

2. Is the distance from the LEDs to the plant tops be an issue in the last weeks since the colas will raise several inches from the net?


Any suggestions are welcome.

Unfortunately this tiny box is what I have to work with. I'll be happy with 2 oz.
Do you recommend other type of grow?

It is my opinion that you really can't keep a plant in there past rooting a clone. There is just not enough vertical space. You need space between the LED and the plant, that would actually require the space you have, just for space between the light and the plant.

+1 on legality too.
I managed to grow dwarfed plants on my first "grow" - root-bound in 1qt pots - pure luck tbh.
4 plants = about an ounce if I'm generous. Again, I have neither knowledge OR skill, I trolled weed forums and ended up here at RIU.
So it CAN be done, and it was fun - but I knew they could have been much, much better.

Sorry to double post BUT,

I think you should REALLY consider the above two posts together --- a risk/reward pro/con, list, etc.
I am not a doctor, lawyer or professional getter-outa-shitter; can't tell you what to do etc.
edit: nor do I play one on TV ;)

Damn dude.. u really break my heart here. What if I use CFLs I stead of LEDs?

I like to hear the truth even when it's harsh.
I believe the risk of getting caught is pretty low - Carbon filter and only I go in that place. Only I have been going in there for the past year and a half.

Do you have space to park a large box truck? Something you could fish underground extension cords too.

I found this 'beaut for $1,827. The box is 96" height 102" width and 24'-0" long.

Plants can be within a few inches of LED strips. My strips don't burn unless the diodes actually touch the plant. I suggest 100w of LED strips. @Zokko check out the LED and stealth / micro / cab growing sub forums.

CHEAP strip light and cabinet

You can flower really small plants if you start from sexually mature clones, but don't expect big fat buds.
Especially if you top.
The space here is 20x12x20
40 watts of oooooold generation LEDs got me about close to 40 grams of what would be considered popcorn buds and larf on bigger plants.
The florescent are actually UV reptile lights so I'm not counting them towards the total light wattage.

Going from seedlings in that space is going to be problematic.
By the time they show sex they're like 18+inches tall, at least for the two strains I've grown.
You can try stunting them during veg with lots of blueish spectrum lighting and pruning them down till they show pistils.

I'm switching over to a 3x3x4 with 800 watts in COBs for my next grow.
I'm sure the OP will come around after a few grows and running out of bud to smoke. :bigjoint:
