Need to be pruned more?

First time grow. First week in flowering, but thinking I need to prune these 2 back more? I have a 1200 watt light for a 4x2x5 grow tent, so I'm doubting to prune back more. My mind is telling me that my light will penetrate through? Buttttt it's my first grow, so all I know is what Google and y'all tell me.

Yea...LED but it's a cheap 100 dollar one from Amazon so sure it isn't putting out what they claim.

So its LED? Its probably a few hundred watts I am guessing, which is good for that size tent.

How long is your strain suppose to take in bud? You could get away with pruning it right now if you are still in the first week. I suggest taking some fan leaves off also, at least lower and shaded ones. I wouldn't rip too much off the plant at once along with pruning it, in case of shock.

I usually prune when I change the reservoirs, so the plant has fresh nutrients to recover with. You are growing in bubble buckets? Your plant looks great.

Well yea, I read to keep pruning up until week 3 of flowering. My main question was I pruned today, but I feel like they are still too bushy? Should I have taken more off today? I am gun shy to cut too much. I'm sure I'm just over thinking it....like I do everything

Yea dwc 5 gal buckets...they are just bag seeds I wanted to experiment with but they seem happy. Thanks for the compliment!

I usually just cut the tops so it makes the ones under become dominant. You could cut off some of the lower and inner stuff that isn't getting sufficient light and it will help the tops that are get more growth.

Yea, I was thinking to cut more, but then I was like man that light seems to be doing awesome...so maybe it can penetrate more....so leave more in the middle and bottom. But I think it will help the yield by not thinking so much and cutting back more maybe...

A lot of people take all the fan leaf. There is a lot of good evidence for defoliation, but I think its best done in steps. It looks like it could help you in a tent grow. I wish I had a proper guide I could show you, I have seen people post tutorials on how to do it safely. I like to leave some fan leaf. Its up to you and people will debate it until the sun goes down.

Marijuana is pretty resilient, you can clean them up without a lot of worry. I would take the bottom stuff off and let the plant heal up and stretch more before taking more, though. Its best to stay on the safe side. If you are working with bag seed, you have to watch out for hermies and stressing the plant too much.

Yea I've read that about the fan leaves. I haven't been cutting any of the big fan leaves unless they seemed to be having an issue. I've stuck with just cutting the inner and lower down.
I might just keep with that for this grow and maybe next grow venture into the defoliating.
I hear ya on the hermies. I'm still worried for mine, because one of them didn't have an easy start that's for sure. I was struggling keeping tent temps down in the beginning.
Out of the 3 I started, one ended up being an auto also never know what ull get huh. Thanks for the advice!

I like fan leaves, they are a good way to read the plant. You could always defoliate a plant later and see how it compares. Hard to do tests when you are using seed though.

Surprising how much auto weed on the market a lot of people find auto seeds in their stuff and pop them unknowingly.

Thanks for the welcome and compliment! Thinking the one on the right of the tent is a male though that's what I get for using bag seeds instead of buying them lol

Sorry my phone sucks but I can't see any balls if you can get closer to the one you are thinking is a male as always thank you for your time

I took several last night and deleted all of them on accident. I'll take some better ones tonight when the light comes back on. It might just be too early still to tell. I did attach one though that I still had.
