Morning RIU! Question/suggestions on scrog. Plants are 45 days , Sour Diesel is the strain and is the reasoning for the question. Worried about the stretch during flower , never have done an indoor SD run.. 4x4x6.5. I was planning on filling the whole screen before flip but now im second guessing . Any thoughts? Thanks

They are going like crazy the past couple days, that was another worry, they are starting to take off.

Sour D is a sativa, so your likely to see a good stretch out of them... id go ahead and flip pretty soon so you still have room to tuck her under as needed
Thats why i posted, sativa especially SourD explodes. I fimmed and topped so there are a shit load of colas hidden right underneath the canopy about to pop out. Cheers and thanks! :joint::peace:

Figured it couldn't hurt. They are on clamps and can be manipulated anyway you want. Fun little shits for $30

Light green in colour and purple stems. Is this normal? I ask because I have one in hydro. I’m 20 days in from rooted clone

I had a problem with my soil about a week ago. Fixed it, back right plant is still a little light but is on its way. The purp is caused by LED i believe, at least what ive read. Some say sourD has purple stems in its genetics. Im not 100% sure.

If you aren't seeing other issues, and only purple or red stems, it is most likely not an issue. It happens to many different strains, and can happen for a bunch of different reasons (from issues to genetics)

Now that i think of it, seedling stage i was running old school Burp leds on them . And i remember seeing something on here about it causing purple stems

About to flip and have been reading conflicting threads on flipping going straight 12/12, some saying 24 hours no lights some 36 hour no light. I lean towards more natural side (12/12) but if science can be used to bend the rules a little , im down. Red's start to transition after 12 hours of darkness but can be boosted by doing 24/36 no light before the flip? Thoughts? Results?

I just go straight to 12/12,no science behind it.24 hr dark before flip makes sense u save that much Electric.

What if electric is fine, im talking the actual "botany" side of it. 24-36 hr dark before you flip , does the extended dark time trigger flowering faster and speed up the process ect.

I think it would help, look at thge outdoor guys it takes a month to see change. When i switch it takes about 7 days.I dont have any science behind it but like i said for me its the electric savings thats more important.I dont think there would be a huge difference between the both.

I run lights at night so ladwp doesn't rape me for "prime" usage which is pretty much sun up to sun down :?. Do you scrog? If so, do you continue to weave during early flower stretch , or let em go ?? Thx for the reply
