Deficiency or something else?

Hi,

So set up is as below -

10 pot Iws in clay pebbles.
A&B at E.C 1.6/8.
2 weeks in veg, originally from seed and had slow growth due to PH problems.

PH is currently 6.2, fresh from tap is it around 7.5 so using PH down.

Plants are slow growing, lower leaves yellowing and top leaves bright green.

Some seem to be doing better than others which is strange. I believe the temps are low when lights off so just corrected that.

I am only feedings once a day is this too little? Hence the deficiency?

what does iws mean?

your ppm should be at 0.7 and you should be feeding every 4 hours

under what light with what schedule?

Whats the ppm of the tap

I have found that when I ran tap it kind of fucked with everything. Might want to get an R/O system

Ppm was 0.6 when I checked. X2 400w lights, 18 hrs.

IWS is basically a flood/drain system, I have changed it to feed every 4. 5 hours now as I am hoping this is why they are showing deficiencies as the water/nutrients seem to be good.

1 time a day wasn't enough (I read a thread stating every couple of hours after I had already posted this, but you comment confirms it should be more frequent)

Thanks

See if your water /tap is at 0.6 starting out there isnt much room for plant nutrients in there. The nutrients in the tap counts towards your total ppms ..

Excessive salts/ppms restrict plant growth.

Tap might be fine for an adult plant that feeds at 700 ppms but it fucks with the little plants

You can google what an r/o system is easier than me explaining it to you.

even though you have a small light you dont need to have it sitting right on top since they are small plants .

whenever you have a problem one of the best things to do is to raise the light and slow the grow and let them recover fyi for future use.

Did you say your ec was 1.6/1.8?
If so then this is way too high, i run my feed time every 4 hours 45 minute segments with a 25 minute feed as im running 18 pots from a 200L flexitank.
Just clocked this post was a good few months ago haha how did you get on??.

Haha, yea I replenished the reservoir and got the nuts down to about 1.0-1.2, they bounced back and ended up being monsters, 4.5oz each on average.

I have found with this setup 99% of the issues can be fixed by adjusting the reservoir.
