Fluffy Buds!

Thought they might be better this grow but fluffy again. Dinafem CBD. One plant that was sort of neglected in the corner has popcorn bus but they are hard as a rock. I am confused, they are clones from the same plant. I have a few plants on deck to go into flower and was hoping to get it right this time. Temp's never over 80 F, led lighting.

Gotta be more specific than LED lighting, that could mean anything.

do you have any pics? Hard to say without more info and pics , if its environment, or just bad genetics?

Also most people agree that plants grown under LED can handle Temps in the mid-high 80s and maintain ideal growth. I doubt this is your issue, but it's worth noting in case you are using more AC than is necessary.

Pics and specifics about soil and nutrients and lights would be a good start.

Just 4g.

Lights, 3k 100W light bulbs, 12W actual. About a foot or less away from the top of the plants. 720W in a 5'x4' space, so 36W per foot.

While I was building them, dropped them down in height and cleaned up the wiring.

I was using General Hydroponics Maxigro and then Maxibloom but I ran out and they don't have any more in Canada. Finishing off the run with a general garden nute 15-30-15. I have some 18-10-30 which would kick up the potasium at this late stage. They are in coco or a hydroponic soil mix. Thinking about it, maybe that is it, they are not sticky enough?

Might be too late but bat (or sea bird) guano and liquid kelp will dense them up if the genetics will allow it.

You do need great lighting as well because that's one of the three keys for dense buds and I know nothing of LEDs.

I agree with you printer, More K near the end of flower. You can see yellowing around the leaf edges in your pics.

Also, maybe consider less phosphorus during the least few weeks of flower. It's hard to tell exactly, but on your close up bud pic, what's left of your leaves look pretty yellow, with brown spots. Too much phosphorus can lock out magnesium, making leaves yellow between the veins. Too much phosphorus late can also cause foxtails.

Is it just me or do those buds look burnt up. All the leaves look crispy and the buds are brown with new green distorted growth.

They are fluffy cause something went wrong. Plants should he green and covered in trichs

Or maybe it is just the light.

No idea. I had just been making sure I have 10% runoff.

Overfed and burnt up. Not much you can do except avoid that mistake next grow.

I had the plants lock out and I flushed them. The old growth looks crispy, I just wanted the grow to finish but sprouted all the new growth, no idea what to do with it.

Raise your lights up. Lots of burning and foxtailing.

I asked about foxtailing in a different thread and was told it wasn't. Lights I set for about the same level on a light meter as outside, I'll do a greater distance next time.

I have better luck with my other strains. Same feeding, mind you these are outside.

You are assuming I was doing things right. Next run I'll try to collect that data. I was too busy with other things.
