FLOWERING PHASE HELP

They don't look bad. Could be bigger they almost always can be til you are perfectly dialed in with everything tho. Is also pretty strain dependent. I see some people getting flowers formed at 3 weeks sometimes its closer to 2. If your flowers just started showing within the last week or so then you are most likely fine. If they were on the shorter side forming at closer to 2 weeks then they might be growing a little slower.

I like to keep my babies around the mid to low 80s so they eat more when I grow solely under led>.< led has a lack of infrared lighting that most hid systems heavily pump out, making the leaf's actualy open up and eat the light at a bit of a higher temperature (78-86ish) so you should be ok! This is all strain dependent of course but should be true 95% of the time

I use LEDs but I also have a therm gun so I can check LST.

I try to keep my LST between 72⁰-80⁰ with LEDs and in order to get 80⁰ LST you need like 82⁰ambient with light distance around 18" for LEDs less than 200W (actual wattage)

Wat does that mean directly snip all the leaves and branches that ain’t prduceing Bud
He means lollipop it. I just did it a few minutes ago actually
Its high 80's you don't want unless you have Co2. Never really over 90 ever i don't think. High 80s will melt tricomes iirc.

Edit: COULD melt tricomes I should say don't think its 100% of strains.
This is some funny shit. What temp do trichs actually melt, lol?

I dunno what temp they actually melt at but it's definitely higher than 100F. Has anyone inspected their buds after an oven decarb at 250F for >30 minutes? I don't recall anyone reporting any melting even at those temps.

You're correct. Over 80 doesn't melt trichs on all strains. My Fallout strain can take temps well over 200 before trichs start melting.

I hope you guys aren't looking up the Fallout strain, because it was a joke, lol.

Learn to melt trichs here.

Needs some serious heat to melt them. Do they melt when it gets 100 degrees in California, or wherever you're at, No!

Well melting and vaporizing are two very different amounts of heat.

Melting point, I suppose that depends on what you consider "solid". Lets talk extracts for a minute, trichome contents without the trichome "husk" and whatnot lol. You can have shatter that breaks easily at say 70 degrees but if you leave a ball of that sitting overnite at 70 degrees it might flatten out some. It's still somewhat viscous. So viscosity is the thing we are talking about, a mixture of oils/terpenes that all have various melting points mixed together. So melting point would be going from solid to liquid, but at what viscosity do we consider it a liquid?

Now to melt a trichome is way harder than to melt an extract. Think of trying to dab kief. lol That extra cellular "material" doesn't wanna melt.

A trichome on a living plant has some degree of moisture inside, other material thats part of the cells in the trichome but isn't terpenes/fats/waxes/lipids, stuff thats not very "melty" lol Damn I am high, but we are in no danger of the trichomes melting as the plant is growing, unless we are tripping acid while looking at them with a USB microscope.
