We had a family of black bears walk up our road, pass in front of our house, and head off into the woods behind our neighbors place. They are moving east.

Don't know if they like cannabis, but they do love bird feeders, chickens, bee hives, gardens, orchards, and open garbage cans. Between me and my neighbor, that's a 100% hit rate.

Sucks.

I'm going to have to put up electric fencing to protect some bee hives. Neighbors have chickens. Don't know what they are going to do yet.

My plants are doing well despite having powdery mildew since they were small. I was just going to toss them but decided to spray with milk and it seems to actually work. I was just talking to my neighbor who also has a few plants outside and he told me about someone a few streets away having there plants cut and stolen. Starting tonight i will be taking them inside at dark, one of the reasons I like keeping them in pots. Trichomes are getting cloudy and I can tell the buds are swelling.

I got Sensi skunk going. Can attest that is looks very healthy. Slowest in flowering development though

Pre 98 bk is almost done. Short finisher normally. Shaded between a GG4 and Northern it also started early. 3-5 weeks and everything else here.

That sucks. Looks like my kitchen trash if we leave our mutt alone for more than a day. Careful of the bears. Just pesky vandals most often. Dangerous though. Peace.

Ambient air ~43deg. This was rootzone temp at 7am this morning

How long is your thermometer probe? Crazy how warm it holds overnight, I've been checking my thermometers and they're all still above 60° at 5am-8am.... and because my plot is so shaded by trees, I dont even get direct sunlight on most of the plants until about 930-10am (Hope we get some early falling leaves to open up the trees canopy for these last few weeks)

PS was that a 30% milk solution misted on? Ive heard that is one formula, and I have seen a few spots here and there, but I just cut them out. So far Ive been able to hand inspect and remove, but in the case I need to spray them I hear that milk, or hydrogen peroxide, i think 3%, not sure so I guess my better option would be the milk. Whole milk?

Ive read any type of milk would work but I would assume like an organic raw milk would be best as I think you're after the bacteria in milk (possibly the ph being left on leaf surface as well? I cant recall right now)

The way I see it, peroxides cheaper than milk (might be harder to find in stores right now, I had to order it on amazon) and if they both accomplish the same thing, Im all about saving money.

With that said, Ive used skim and whole milk from the fridge that had just gone bad, and used it to make a 4:1 IIRC spray mix to use on the plants in the yard surrounding the crop. Only used the spray on my plants once and cant say for sure if it worked well or not as I used peroxide shortly after.

Why you trim? I think if your like me, a large part of growing is instinctual. If you trimmed it was for a reason..cooler weather= more dew. More air flow, more energy going to the tops.
Or why you grow? That's a question only you can answer. I believe that some of us are just bitten by the bug. And once a grower, always a grower. It's addictive, productive, and a lifestyle. Cannabis culture is a learning process, and places like this give us a social platform to chanel our thoughts and energies. And in the end, we all get the bonus, some good smoke to share, barter, gift and get us through the winter.

hey is that painters drop you used? and did you use it all year round? ive been wanting to build one, i used painters drop in a mini house i built and it seemed to work, but not 100% positive

If you want a lightweight, fairly durable covering, buy contractors plastic by the 20' x 200' roll in 3.5 mil from home improvement store or painters supply. About $40 here. I suggest the 5 mil though. About $70. Then just get "GOOD" double sided greenhouse tape. Build a frame or find an old carport frame with shot covering for cheap. 5 mil taped to it makes it quite rigid and durable. Be sure to securely anchor with a few mor stkes than you think you need. Dont want to see you get sick trying to smoke anything that may be harmful. If it is wpm, it looks to be quite a bit of it. spraying thoroughly with 3% hydrogen peroxide will knock it down if you havent already taken care of it (if it actually is wpm)

I wash all the bud in peroxide and rinse before drying so much crap rinses off.

Mine are about 4" same story... I think it may be a better indicator than the longer like $20 compost ones actually... at least we know they're 60° ish about 4-5inches in... (not sure if the probe detects at the tip or the whole length of the metal shaft?)

After having been fighting the worst PM I have ever seen this year. I have learned that our typical sprayers and foggers don't atomize or cover for crap. And even worse on large crowded plants. Tried my Graco airless paint pump with a 0.315 tip on lowest pressure setting. A-F'n-mazing coverage with 2/3rds less solution. Complete bottom to top coverage and a dense fog if I spray in the air just above the plants. I am now finally winning the battle. Using this requires a full face respirator and head to toe covering. I'm convinced it changed my treatments effectiveness. Coverage is the key people.
