That's how it is when your a grower. It's like raising kids, you wanna see them grow up right, when they get sick you want to make them better, we worry about them constantly, we are with them their whole life. We have good kids and bad kids, And every crop teaches you new things. Growing is an emotional, physical, spiritual and mental process. it can be very addictive - but it's a creative outlet too. From how you design your garden, to how you feed your plants, to how you tie up those top heavy leaners. The garden is an extension of us, and the medicine when it's complete, is our reward. Hoping everyone I've met so far on this site, has a great grow. This is the time of year that can really be a junk twister. Anything can go wrong at anytime, but, then again, a lot of things can go right.
very well said. i havent been more excited than this season in years. so happy i went through with this

POWDERY MIDEW WIPED OUT COMPLETELY
Yep, two teaspoons of Organic Apple Cider per quart of water completely abolished every last sign of powdery mildew that I had on one plant. I have never been so amazed. Wish I took before and after pics. Now, I admit, I misted the hell out of it, underside, leaves, everything, and theres no sign, nor is there any sign of dadmage. And its organic. I read (here) that all you need to do is to change the acidic levels, well, Im a believer.
happy for you! hope they keep growing with no problems

whats up fellow massholes , long time lurker first time posting but perhaps anyone in the berkshire county area use the tap water?! I've been finding a unique problem now 5 weeks into flower and my auto white lsd is in major nute lockout and cal def. I've been feeding this water along with advanced nutrients ph perfect(which isn't working). just went to wally world to get my first RO water but man it sucks to resort to buying it . seems like everyone praises tap water unless u seem to live close to a limestone quarry. be that as it may has anyone else encountered this issue my assumption is to switch to bottled and eventually possibly end up purchasing a RO filter (will add cal/mg) . ps tap water is 8.3 from tap no change after gassing off.ppm out of tap is 175 to 200. sorry if this question has been asked already just really need some local advice!

Do you mean submerging all your flower in a hydrogen peroxide bath? I shudder at the thought, mostly because Im a coward and have never tried it, I have a buddy doing a grow in VA that uses forced h20 as a curing process. I just have visions of soggy buds and melted terpines and trikes. Does it affect smell or taste?
I know this is a hot button but IMO washing is a must for outside grows. Don't believe me, look at your bud with a loupe and check out all the dead insects stuff looking back at you, bird shit, worm shit foliar sprays and general grime. Shits nasty. For me a gentle dip improves smell, taste, smokable-ity, and the overall quality. The resin isn't water soluble. Look at it this way, you wash fruits and veggies before you eat em right? Wash a test bud in a tupperware dish and compare.

On an indoor grow running a dust shroom or other intake filter it's probably not necessary, but won't hurt IMO.

Actually, I use yellow sticky boards and other measures that prevent any kind of insects in my outdoor grow. It's a small pretty controlled garden, and people have been growing and curing without washing for many, many years. I know it is a method that works, and many people use several methods like and similar to this, it's just not for me.
I'm old school. My methods.may be arcane, but they work for me. Personally, I've never seen bugs, spiders, or any other insects in my buds. But maybe that's because I don't grow in bulk, just the 12 plants allotted to me legally in my area.
Peace.

I’m def doing a bud wash. Was thinking of keeping it simple doing a 1 part hydrogen peroxide, 4 parts water wash. What’s everyone else doing? I feel like doing the lemon/baking soda alongside the hydrogen peroxide is a big task with a large outdoor harvest which it seems a lot of ya could be having this year

Washing your consumables isn't a new school idea my man. People have been washing carrots and tomatoes for years.

On a sidenote... A total lack of bugs is concerning. I always have a naturally occurring, lady bugs, daddy long legs, praying manti, dragon flies, birds and an army of frogs and snakes protecting my plants.

I skip the baking soda as I use it to control PM and I'm removing that from the plant with the wash in addition to all the other junk. The lemon I haven't tried. I just use clean water and eyeball some 3% in, a light rinse and to the drying rack

G Cervantes has a REAL simple method if you search on youtube.

I always wash my outdoor, even in a greenhouse... my primary concern is any hidden PM or mold spores ... I use a 10 gal trash barrel with 2 cups peroxide, none of the other shit... after you see what’s floating in the water you’ll never go back

Yes I am just an avid gardener after all. My affinity towards cannabis rather than tomatoes or roses is the only real difference.

Im in berkshire, but on a well. I have 6.9 out my tap.

I will say this though, I have grown autos this year, maybe 15 or so of them. I have had 3-4 just totally stop at a certain point. No water uptake, all yellow, no more growth. No explanation that I can find, they just stop while the other ones keep going for a few more weeks. I feel like autos have been a totally different experience than the traditional grows. Post a few pics, sometimes you just get bad genetics on the autos and with such a short period any mistakes and you are sorta stuck.
