AUTOS NOT LOOKING GREAT

My soil mix is perlite Coco Canna and Happy Frog. Indoor Autoflower grow 19 / 7 light cycle. Strands are cheese and AK-47. All I've been doing is misting so far the plants are about 6 days old. This morning I'm seeing this Leaf curl on some of my smaller autos. The big ones still look good I'm wondering if they need water? Is it heat or light stress? The first plan is under 200 watt LED and is about 20in from the light the second two are under hlg 650 and about 33 in moved up from about 30 in yesterday

stick your finger in that soil, is it moist? If not give it a nice watering, then wait a few days and check again.
shut off the HLG 650 and put them all under the 200w LED for now to save power. When they get bigger you can turn the second light on or whatever.
Don't feed them, the happy frog has enough nutes in it.

wierd to mix coco and soil but it should work. Coco is hydro medium and happy frog is soil so I'm not sure how you'd want to pH but the coco could be stripping all the cal-mag from the soil if you didn't charge it. You may want to add a small amount of cal-mag once and a while.

download a lux app on your phone or buy a 20$ lux meter, or check the manufacturers recommended specs for distancing that light. Either 8-15k lux from the light to the canopy will make sure it isn't too much light , or take the recommended veg distance and add a little to that and let them thrive

I'd guess you are giving them too much light, but the soil also looks a little dry. Too moist or too dry of soil can cause issues but the mix you are using it is hard to over water. What size pots are these in?

How do u manage 19/7 light schedule? Lol

Looks dry causing pH shifts. Wrinkled leaves and slight yellowing on that twisted one.

Roots always go down first so if u water lightly and the soil is not moist enough they hit dry pockets and go all weird like yours.

Unfortunately I have too many to put them all under the small light. I did turn the 650 down to 50% power but I'm worried about the footprint reaching the corners at half power. I saw online with Autos a few people were mixing the Coco in the Happy Frog with the perlite on a 111 mix so I figured I'd give it a shot. I just try to keep them wet I've never really watered them the soil feels moist about 2 to 3 in down

Coco should stay saturated and never get dry and requires a pH around 5.8 - 6.0 for proper nutrient uptake.
Soil should go through a wet and dry cycle and requires a pH around 6.5 - 6.8.
Why did you mix them?
If you wanted to amend your soil with something.......peat moss would have been a better choice.

I've seen online with the Autos a little more light is a plus so I moved the light schedule from 18 hours to 17 hours and I probably meant to say

I meant to say 19 + 5 I guess it's too early. When I put my finger in it seems pretty moist about 2 to 3 in down but I might need to give it some water but I'm just not feeling that that's the problem but then again what do I know

I have no idea how much water to tell you Coco and soil one you need to water every day and then one that you can go 3 day in bee tween watering I think you should weigh it when it's dry and again after watering as always thank you for your time and the best of luck

when you water, water slowly, and get about 10-20% runoff. For instance with 10 gallons of watering, you should get 1-2 gallons coming out of the pots. Also don't let the pots sit in this water, that will cause issues. I used 10 gallons for easy math but you get the idea. Pick up the pots and feel how heavy they are or stick your finger in, and it should take a few days at least at this stage before they will need watering again. Using a rosebud watering can (I like the dramm brand) will help with even watering

I'm sure the 650 will be plenty for those plants, they really don't need so much light at this stage and a lux meter will help you give it just what it needs. I think you should either get the app for your phone or buy a 20$ lux meter so you have something to gauge your light intensity with

A couple of the grow channels I follow on YouTube one of them being from seed to smoke I was using this mixture with his autos and just said keep the pH around 6.1 6.2 and everything should be good

Got ya. Aye 20/4 is good for autos. 2-3 inches down is far for the size of them. They branch out as they gown.

I mixed coco and soil once and got horrible results.

I think you may be chasing your tale on this grow.

Id water at pH6.0 with some calmag and let it do it’s thing.

So what the thinking that the soil feeds the Coco and the soil water the Coco mmm let's see what someone I trust has to say if anything @Doug Dawson
Honestly if it were me I would go to coco/perlite mix and drop the soil. Or go to soil and drop the coco but keep some perlite mixed with it for o2 retention at roots. I see some do mix coco with soil as a substitute for peat but I have not done that and as some others have pointed out could give you strange issues. You set you ph different in soil and coco so I just would not go that route. Being new I would suggest you pick one and go through the process than you can try the other. Once you get both mediums dialed in you can play around with mixing but at least will have an idea of what to expect.
