What does it take to hit a pound or more indoor grow

So my next batch i would like to harvest a pound or more. My first batch looks like it might get 6 ounces i dont know yet for which this is my first grow. I know everything places affect. But i got 2 led 1200 watt lights, i also got an ac infinity inline fan, i do plan on getting an ac infinity shutter fan to place close to bottom to help suck air into grow area. I also got ac unit that runs cold air into my area to help with temps. Summer got pretty hot. My area is 5ft x 5ft. If need i can make it into 10ft x 5f. My area is also covered in reflective mylar film. In the future i plan on using 15 gallon pots on 4 to 8 plants possible more if that what it takes. I also use foxfarm nutrition, should i invest into something more like advanced nutrition, also should i run more led lights or is that to much. Heat not in issue. I plan on buying two more 1200 watt lights an place them horizontal on the walls so they shine more on the sides and closer to bottom then on top.

Not gonna cut it in a 5 x 10 area. You're gonna want to purchase 7000 watt LEDs to achieve your desired results. Or maybe just 2 or 3 4000 watt units. But realistically, two 7000 watt lights are going to be cheaper than three or four(you're gonna want at least three) 4000 watt lights. Keep in mind that multiple 4000 watt LEDs will give you better spread.

Stick with the 1200 watt lights if you plan on using them as side lighting like you described.

No. Don't waste your money on overpriced cannabis specific nutrients. You're not going to get magic out of a bottle. In fact a nutrient regimen like Jacks 321 is all you need. That's basically all you need as far as nutrients go. Too many new growers seem mesmerized by the fancy labels and cool sounding names of all the products out there. Forget about that nonsense. Focus on environment and lighting. Those factors are way more important than this or that brand of overpriced nutrients.

I've pulled over a pound out of a 4 x4 tent with a 600 watt HPS without the need for any shiny bottles.

A good technique and understanding of environment but it's not something one can/will learn overnight it requires experience, like any other hobby you start with the basics and build on it as you go.
Big wattage alone isn't enough.

Tons of good advice above

Too much red and blue in general for flowering plants with the purple, those ones you have seem to severely affect plant development ....retarded flowering, excessive stretch, nodal length and development.

This right here...and 10 gallon bags are plenty. Bump it up to a 1000 watt HPS if you can handle the heat. And read up on how to supercrop. Veg time around 6-8 weeks, so if you set up another small veg tent you can be pulling a pound or more every 8-9 weeks.

The truth of how to hit a pound isn't lights or nutrients although both help immensely.

What you need is time and training and a container large enough to hold the root mass without allowing it to get root bound.

Just good lights, soil, plant management and a religious maintenance schedule.

What is that strain?
It looks remarkably similar to a plant I used to work from, due to unforseen circumstances it was destroyed :-(
People still mention it to this day I'd love to source it again.

I agree, a 10 gallon of soil is plenty.

I can grow a tree that yields 1/2 lb. in a 2.4 gallon pot........15 gallon pots is ridiculous.
I am finding that a little bit of medium can support a large plant with coco+autofeed. I won't use over a 3 gallon any more.

Genetics+Environment, the best of nature and nurture.
