Went out to find entire garden a complete disaster. Plants blown into and entangled in plants, branches of my finest ripped off and or broken, just an absolute nightmare. I am so damn, I'm just tired. I'm tired feel as 8f all the energy is completely drained out of me.

I tied up what I could, cut what I had to, which was a lot. Worse thing is though, they are probably all shocked beyond repair, will most likely stunt and not finish. What a collosal waste.

Going back to bed.

Okay great thanks for the review, I’m thinking of giving all my small shit to a hush friend as well, and even if I don’t, the time savings on the other 70% of it would be worth it.

I think I’m probably gonna do it
oh one more thing I should add is the newest model has much better speed control .. the older models only had Hi and Low speeds, but the latest has a rheostat so you can dial in the speed for what you're trimming

Keep my waterlogged colas in your prayers today. Woke up to find my umbrella blown away in the wind and my colas at practically 180°. Tried to tie them up w a rope but had little time before work. In Ja’s hands now.
Yes indeed. Mother Nature can be a harsh and unforgiving woman. I KNEW I should have staked and tied off my large Widow yesterday, but it was getting late and blah blah...paying for it now.

Hope everyone’s girls made it thru last night. I had one branch snap off and one crack but I think I can save it. The rest look fine luckily. I was out in my pjs 6am this morning tying up what i could and holding on for dear life lol my saving grace is having the cover on top. The buds don’t get wet so not as top heavy thank god. I still have to inspect damage when I get home from work but man was I not prepared for that

Someone said in last years thread , I don’t remember who, that they almost swore off outdoors because of the stress and aggravation it caused them, and I can see why now lol...what a headache fixing all of this will be.

In retrospect, I should have run small diameter poly rope throughout every limb and spider webbed it through my chain link fence like I saw a guy do online for his outdoors.

Hell maybe that’s what I will HAVE to do to prop these fat girls up.

No damage here, well yet anyway, it's still windy. Glad I staked and tied the four in the ground yesterday. Found a small spot of rot in the top cola of Balkhi 3, decided I was done playing with trying to selectively prune and ended up taking about 4" of it off. Most of what was cut was salvaged and peroxided, so no big loss. I could chop this plant now, but I'd like to get a few cool nights in to get her to crank resin production. So the battle continues.

Sounds a lot like hope

I woke up to find my greenhouse plastic canopy blown off and plants completely exposed to the street.

On top of that I've got bud worms pooping and with the rain you know it's going to cause rot.

Let us all remember this lesson for next season: reinforced canopy, and a mesh screen to prevent moths from laying budworm eggs. Am I forgetting anything? Please feel free to add to the list.

All but one of my plants got hit pretty hard last night, but the three biggest got the full on hulk smash treatment. Ugh. Well, ain’t over till it’s over.

I am in a 'shoulda known better, didn't learn my lesson last two seasons' mentality.
Same here, this is no ones fault but my own... In my case, I strictly remember running out of welded wire fencing when I needed about 20 feet more, and didnt want to buy another 100 ft roll... Plant shot up, and last major wind storm was a warning showing me it was going to be too top heavy and swaying in the wind... I consciously chose not to buy more caging, knowing Id probably regret it... and of course, the weight of late sept. buds plus 2 days of no cover rain waterlogging the colas.... add that wind and that was a disaster waiting to happen.

But it could've been much much worse, and although they are way early for my liking... They're not a total loss at all, Not to toot my own horn but the popcorn nugs that I had been drying in the corner of a room with no effort/attention from some maintenance trimming I had to do on the lower branches near the ground about 2 weeks ago(i.e. ~5 weeks early or more).. zero cure and they're already better than the bud some people I know get from the closest disposary dispensary.

It's a great machine, it really is ... a friend has the older model that I tried a while back, I think it's the 1st gen ... it felt like it had a bulkier casing and was a bit more difficult getting around some of the tighter spots... I have the 3rd gen and it's definitely more compact and way easier to work with ... i've only used it to trim up maybe 5 or 6 ounces of indoor so far, but that only took about 20 mins ... it does take a few minutes to get the hang of, but once you get going you're flying ... the only downside is that it can be more difficult around the small popcorn stuff, but I don't really mess with that stuff anyway, just throw it all in the hash pile ... and the price too, that's obviously a downside, but they offer 10% off so it ends up costing about just under $300 shipped ... but I'd say it's definitely worth it if you're trimming more than a pound
Does it make a big mess, with bits of material flying around? I think I need one, too. Just finished with 2 pounds, got another two still in the ground.
Damn, last night sucked. My tarp was a a bad idea- everything got wet and also beat to shit. They seem to be responding nicely to the sun right now, so hopefully all goes OK...

This. Dispensary bud can be so hit or miss, and DAMN SURE not as good as homegrown, even early homegrown and that’s a sad sad commentary on dispensary quality control considering what they charge lol.

I'm not in Mass (a bit north), but HOLY HELL, throw me in the 'woke up to carnage' camp. 2" of rain last night. I have _most_ of my garden covered with a tarp (that held up just fine), but a few branches poke out the sides. Those endured / absorbed all that rain and there were broken branches, bent branches... Frantically tried to tie and repair things before work, but they are skeewampy and sideways now.

Praying for a gentle breeze and plenty of sunshine!

Remember folks. These are the events that happen that you learn from. Weather happens, there’s nothing you can do about it. If you can learn from it and prepare better it makes you a better grower. You either give up or get better. That being said I have some work to do when I get home lol
