As someone who cannot stand Trump, I only see downsides from this.

If he remains asymptomatic, he will be the conquering hero who proves COVID is no big deal.

If he gets sick and survives, he will elicit sympathy and votes.

If he dies, he will inspire countless QAnon theories about assassination that will keep the legend alive forever.

I would much prefer he just lost the election.

And now I will wait for the ad hominem attacks to begin while RIU admins applaud.

Donald dies and the republican party dies with him, he will take them down in death and leave them holding a big bag of shit. I look upon it as a positive and poetic justice, it will take the steam out of his movement and fuck up his campaign and schemes at least, at best he goes down hill quickly and dies. I normally don't wish for such things or suffering on others, but many more Americans will live if Donald dies. Suicide by covid, live by the lie, die by the lie.

I will leave my like, even though it was given before I read the snow flaking at the end. I am sure you don't care that I am saying this, but it would be so nice to have actual conversations without that last bit of trolling tossed in at the end.

I really don't see this as a positive for the reasons you listed, outside of one thing.

Biden should stay in his basement and hope like hell Dear Leader did not infect him 2 days ago. And he needs to stay in his basement and not take the chance of getting the virus when there is truly no need.

Not sure why it’s snowflaking just to acknowledge something learned from experience. It’s not unusual to be attacked on here for deviating whatsoever from the party line. Even when you’re not sure what the party line is. Not that I feel like arguing about it, tho.

Another thought that crosses my mind is it’s just a ploy for sympathy and trying to get out of more disastrous debate performances.

I would not put anything past Trump. Faking a positive COVID test really does not seem all that far fetched given his propensity for trying to cast himself as being persecuted.

It would accomplish both at the same time — make him a figure of sympathy while proving the libs are exaggerating the danger of COVID.

Things have gotten so crazy I don’t know what is for real anymore. How would he even prove he does have COVID? It’s too convenient...

You sure he’s not lying to prove COVID is no big deal? I know this sounds paranoid but it is also very plausible.
