How to prevent outgrowing flower room

I know how to pick the right size to flip a plant to control its size, but I have an iPower adjustable 600 watt mh/hps light in each tent. Should I set the one in the veg tent to a lower strength of light instead of full strength 600w maybe 400w, and then have the one in the flower tent set to full strength? I want my plants coming from veg to be strong but I’ve heard that the light in your veg room doesn’t have to be so intense. I don’t want to turn it up and make them grow too fast in veg for my flower tent to free up space also.

this is mainly relevant for the summer I really have to have ample space between the canopy and the light in flower because I don’t have good air circulation in my basement, I don’t have a way to exhaust the air and it just recycles so I have to turn the lights down low and keep the plants from getting too tall.

I have heard you don’t want your flower and veg tent to be the same size. Really I am just wondering if that’s true and if having the light turned down in the veg tent is going to help me not outgrow my flower tent and veg tent.

I have two 5x5 tents and they have the same iPower 600 w mh/hps in them. Is it a bad idea to have them both on full blast? Can it cause the plants in veg to grow too fast and make me run out of room?

It does not matter what size your tents are, the plants don't care as long as they are not too small. They can be the same size. Don't dim your lights, just keep them correct distance when vegging. Plan for your plants to at least double in size, possibly more. Figure out how far you need your light in flower, get the plants in veg to just under half that size and you should be fine and not outgrow your space. You can always train your plants to keep the canopy even and if a cola get's away from you supercrop it.

Dude i have my optic 2, cobs only, at 32" away from canopy at 40 days veg and they re vigorous af. What you re thinking doesnt really apply. I think the answer to your quest is... do some low stress training in veg or veg for less time. Let the watts rain on them either way.

And I already know they stretch more when you repot them in a bigger pot right before flower. I already know it and I’m just seeing if anyone else agrees. Or I’m pretty sure I’ve seen plants stretch to 3x when they had a lot of extra space to root But if they were root bound or not much space they maybe don’t even double in size. Not trying to be nasty, it’s just you had a condescending attitude from jump. Stop being a dick.
