keep an eye if it spreads it could also be a ph swing. I've chased my tail a few times and it was ph imbalances

do you have a way to test ph going in? the strips are dumb cheap. I had a digital cheapo from Amazon tossed it away after realizing it was crap. the strips aren't exact but they also don't need to be kept up to ensure accurate results

Find out how to adjust the calibration. A screw in there some where, most likely. Mix a tsp of baking soda and a cup of distilled water. The PH is 9.0 every time. Use that as your base. Always use a cup of distilled water to set the pen in while using. Swirl in it between readings. Swirl vigorously for 30 seconds when done. Shhake excess out and blow probes dry before storing. Will maintain accuracy longevity for some time. A PPM pen or EC meter is a must if don;t already have.
