Ok , so do plants outside in the wild that grow wild get water every time , even in a jungle the soil will get dry and retain its nutrients in the ground til water comes back. Now number 2, don’t plants live in arid environments as well, that proves to you that even though soil is dry , plants tend to survive, like a weed plant, now number 3, is water wet? Lol100% Everydays a school day ?
And also the last guys post soil will seem dry to touch but particles still carry water for microbes and soil life, so no even when the soil seems dry it’s really not, it’s still has water retained.Ok , so do plants outside in the wild that grow wild get water every time , even in a jungle the soil will get dry and retain its nutrients in the ground til water comes back. I have tried it, I’ve been growing with my father for years and years, soil does dry it’s not constantly wet, particles hold water in, when it may seem dry, so soil “does” dry, you just don’t want it to be bone dry with no water content at all, trust me bro I’ve done years of researching and also have lots of friends who do no till, check out @Growwbacca on IG.There is quite a Difference in a plant ‘surviving’ vs ‘thriving’.
W blumats etc the plants dont get that cpl hrs of ‘drooping’ and begging for water.
Hook up blumats in veg and watch your plants explode.
Id almost say yes you want a living soil at the right moisture level 100% of The time and never drying right out. I say this because atm I am about 3 drippers short of where my notill bed should be and the plants closest to the drippers absolutely dominate the same clones further away.
Like most things, dont knock it til ya try it.
Peace
Ya i get ya. It still does go ‘drier’ depending what you set your blumats at.I have tried it, I’ve been growing with my father for years and years, soil does dry it’s not constantly wet, particles hold water in, when it may seem dry, so soil “does” dry, you just don’t want it to be bone dry with no water content at all, trust me bro I’ve done years of researching and also have lots of friends who do no till, check out @Growwbacca on IG.
This is also why growers that grow in soil say to water every 2 - 3 days until the soil couple few inches down feels dry so no overwatering practices.I have tried it, I’ve been growing with my father for years and years, soil does dry it’s not constantly wet, particles hold water in, when it may seem dry, so soil “does” dry, you just don’t want it to be bone dry with no water content at all, trust me bro I’ve done years of researching and also have lots of friends who do no till, check out @Growwbacca on IG.
Keep on quoting yourself. It will make your opinions revelant. This is also why growers that grow in soil say to water every 2 - 3 days until the soil couple few inches down feels dry so no overwatering practices.
Nice post.A lot of commercial growers in coco and rockwool seem to think it's important to have some dry back. They feed 3-12 times a day. Grodan makes a sensor you can stick In the cubes to try and get it perfect. I've heard it refered to as crop steering. Of course it does not ever get completely dry but there is a range to shoot for.
In my situation I don't have irrigation set up yet so I water my 7 gallon pots of coco once per day. I shoot for them to be dry on top yet still have some water. They been drinking about a gallon each per day, but slowing down slightly as I'm nearing the end.
Whole reason I say I can't grow in soil is cause I could never get the watering down. But I've heard with living soil that it should stay wet.
Well at least your are stating that you are a troll the others have done it as well, they changed their profile pics to trolls from a kiss band. ROFL.Keep on quoting yourself. It will make your opinions revelant.
Dont be shy and default to calling me a troll, cuz that is what im doing
I'm pleased it meets with your approvalNice post.
it does stay wet, but inside particles where the live soil can feed and help the roots. It’s that cool touch when you dig your finger in. Its not totally dry like you said. I like this post good one.
Your attitude kinda sux, and most of your advice does as well. I didnt know why all were changing to trolls, but now it makes sense.Well at least your are stating that you are a troll the others have done it as well, they changed their profile pics to trolls from a kiss band. ROFL.
