Actually saw very few Aussies I bought. Natives came in and exploded in population. I got covered and bit by by baby alligators and adults evrytime I brushed plants.

I got lazy an started using a staple gun last year... just started schwacking stalks to all my wood headers beams, whatever i could drive a spike into, lol/ I have these logs in my attic? They have cracks in the wood? So id just stuff the stalks in the cracks of the logs in a line, worked great! Then I had to staple everything!!!!

I'm still pulling or being pricked by staples from my days of staple gun solutions. It's SOOO EASY! I'm movable and reusable. About the price of 5 boxes of 3/8" heavy duties. No regrets later.

I use these for everything, Including my wallet... small ones hold the cards, large one holds the cash around the cards... Ive got thousands lying around I use them for absolutely anything,,Love em.... Surprisingly Ive never used them to dry though... Just fishing line and the stalks but its not a bad idea for those small weak ones with no good point to hook onto the line and I end up tying into a knot which is a pain to get off when they dry..

Loose the wallet. ID maybe afew cards in your back pocket. Justed saved thousands in back problems. The clips come in a variety of sizes. Popcorn sticks to 5/8". They have over taken our house as well. LOL.

I pull em/buck em off when cutting down, Ill pull off all the ones that are easily popped right off and then anything smaller will get hung with the rest, and trimmed normally.
I’m always on edge about my plants drying too fast and have tried to keep a decent amount on there, but then if you don’t have air flow you get mold....
I’ll try hanging them and then cutting as much as I can get to easily and see how it goes!

The amount I take off and leave on is in direct proportion to my ability to keep the humidity in my dry space up, Im hardly worried about mold because I check them so often, and TBH theres barely a setting on my slowest fan that I use for airflow in my drys because I ride the line of RH being too low Im always more worried about having too much airflow, Plus I find the sugar leaves and smaller fans that are a pain to buck off, the ones I leave on, form a great shell around the buds to protect and slow drying further, sometimes Ill even bunch the plants together on the drying line to slow it even more, but Im in and out of that room 5-10x a day refilling humidifier or checking things, grabbing stuff thats ready to trim, and its just a continual process like that for 2-3 weeks. Usually dont trust anyone enough to trim my buds so they get broken down and bagged/jarred then all gets trimmed eventually by hand to my personal liking, and I just collect the trim as it goes, which seems to work out better since the trim is cured with the buds.
Overall, I wouldnt stress too much about mold if your checking the buds thoroughly at least once a day.

Yes I do a wet trim, I cut then go to the spot where I can take off most of the leaf

Straight off the plant mine look like this. I just dry a bit slower. Make sure to catch and collect the trimmings when you get into the close sugar leaves. Makes a world of enjoyable goodies.
Hmm, trimming while they are in the pot would be easiest for me. Looks like a good idea on the day of harvest. Almost got the space for my tent ready but my basement stays around 62f and dehum at 60% should be fine, I can raise that to 65-70% if you think that would be better?

I run ambient humidity for about the first week. Then I use a dehumid set to 55% for a few days. Then 45%. 24 hours after stabilized at that I seperate and start curing in jars. The stems must be dry enough to snap when ready. It is a couple day process. Bigger takes more time. Handle your buds by the stems. Try not to touch them.Always leave enough of a handle on them to rotate as you trim and handle.
I can get it down that low too, sounds like a good approach!
