Anyone ever use bread to put moisture back into buds while curing?
I do...works great!

Will work both ways, if bud is dry add piece of fresh bread, if buds are moist burp and or add piece dried bread to jar, dried bread will absorb moisture from buds. ;)

I installed hygrometer to my jar lids too.
Can monitor temp/humidity without opening jars. ;)

these are your best friend with curing
WTF man. These things have doubled in price since COVID. I was paying a buck a piece. I guess I gotta stop telling people about them, lol.

Yeah, WTH??? I've got a case I'll sell you for 45 bucks. Just PM me, if you're interested....
I've got 2 1/2 cases of new ones that I bought awhile ago along with more hygrometers. I try to get the ones that's come in a box. It makes it a lot easier and then it's also dark. I like the mini jars too. I keep different kinds in the tiny jars and refill them when I need to. My hygrometers are just at the bottom, so I just have to look at the bottom of the jar and I know the RH. Also, those hygrometers aren't super accurate, but give you a good enough idea.

Hay/Chlorine smell with the foul taste could be mold. I have seen and smelled a few moldy quantities of bud, having successfully recovered pounds of moldy buds into BHO. That hay and ammonia stench is synonymous with a moldy batch of bud IMO.

BHO from moldy bud, how did that turn out? If the butane does not break down what you want from the plant than how do you know if it breaks down the mold? Just curious.

Have to heat treat the bud in a dry steam autoclave @ 145 C for 30 hrs. to start with, in order to kill the cytotoxins, then cool, dry, powder, stuff, blast, winterize and filter. It is an epic effort and would only recommend for very very good bud.
