Just curious - I see a lot of different ranges on here. I believe my tap is on the high side at 550 PPM and PH of 8.5 ...
Answers and info - much appreciated, homie! I grow only coco and would have never known this36ppm @ ph 8
Some water softners create salts as a bi-product which is a no no for our plants. Be careful on how you filter!
No man - You have to calibrate it at ur local strip club they can translate the instructions and they know all about being a 6.0can i use my ph/ec temp and ppm tds meters strait out of the box??? mine came with forighn instructions so i cant read up and finfd out. or do they need calibrating??
For the PPm meter you don’t need to calibrate usually. For an accurate pH reading you do. Having said that usually out of the box mine was only 0.1 high. Get some pH buffer 4 and 7. Then use them to calibrate the pH pen.can i use my ph/ec temp and ppm tds meters strait out of the box??? mine came with forighn instructions so i cant read up and finfd out. or do they need calibrating??
Resisting the RO route... Might make a purchase this week.My house has 240 ppm, haven't tested ph.
Over 100 is too hard imo
I run this ro system, works great, easy install. Cost maybe 200 in total investment, plus I ran another line to the kitchen for drinking water.

Im really curious what's in my water that makes the PPM so high. I talked to someone in the local water district and they said a city near us is buying all of the bordering water plants and adding madd fluoride into the water! I am constantly checking my water it's different almost every monthHave no idea what the ppm is. Ph is 8.0 with damn near no free chlorine. Im in soil so thats really all I need to know lol.
Fluoride, chlorine, calcium, and what not.Resisting the RO route... Might make a purchase this week.

I am jealous lol! Bottle that water and sell it as growing water.PH 7.6 PPM 160
Thank u. I am resisting the filter but I feel like I can get an even cleaner smoke without all the extra tracesFluoride, chlorine, calcium, and what not.
Fluoride you can filter out. Chlorine you can dissipate off. Not that I've bothered doing either but they can be done to lower ppm.
My buddy uses a filter for his tap that lowers ppm. I just asked him for the name. Il hit you here with the info when I get it.Thank u. I am resisting the filter but I feel like I can get an even cleaner smoke without all the extra traces
