8 weeks from flip?

It sure is. 4/5 of my current plants are sativa leaning and I got family coming in December. Really hope they don't go over 10 weeks...but I feel like going to have to explain the elephant in the room to my S/o twin.
Sativa's will most likely take well over 10 weeks depending on what you got.

You can't quantify "flowering" biologically, so the only reasonable way to quantify it is chronologically, otherwise your just making guesses which don't help anything.

If your going to keep track of days, keep track of days from a verifiable set point (the date of the flip), not an obscure visual refence that you make an objective decision about as your set point... thats silly in my mind.

As for "how many days", thats impossible to answer... but at LEAST 60-70... but shes ready when shes ready

What do you mean by 45 days before flip?
With a good veg regime they can be read to flower in 3 weeks, what I'm I missing?

I keep a note of date to see how they are progressing but I don't cut to a calendar, personally if it's 75/80% brown I'll chop it maybe a bit before if I,ve a crop waiting, you know within yourself when it's ready.

I'm always paranoid about leaving them over long in case they hermied, is possible if it not getting fertilized?

Well said. I think keeping track from flip makes more sense. I believe you should look at how long the breeder says that particular strain goes and keep track..then just look at trichomes to your liking? What am I missing?
