problem hanging giant hood

So first off im in a 2400 x 1200
Old tent with 16mm pipes and its old lol.

My new shades arrived sayin 15kg however i way em at 27 lol.

I alredy have a 40kg filter up. And a limit of 100kg on bars i dont want to reach the limit it could snap lol 1 made it sway like a ship at sea.


So i made a frame to find my dtw pipes all over get in te way to the brain .

so my next plan as im in attik is as follows now tell me yall if am crazy but seems like it will work...

2.4m 2x2 timber ontop of tent resting on the bars .
Screw eye hooks into my top roof beam and attatch to the 2.4m timber .

So now i have a swing over my tent yall follow?

Now inside the tent to aboid any ripping of thw tent and leaks. Get another timber and screw it to the timber ontop of the tent. Like a blt sandwitch blt the tent ofc.

Now i should be able to safely hang the lamps to the timber.

Now resting on top bars of tent and secured weight to the roof peak it should be stable rip proof and safe right ?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are saying, but I would use metal conduit in lieu of wood and maybe some 16 gauge galvanized steel wire or something, very cheap and strong.

Il get some pics in 30 mins for ya. Didnt think ma spelling was that bad this time lol.
I read it quite well confused lol.


But ye basicly a tent in a loft with a triangle shaped roof like most are.

The tent wont hold the weight .

So i was gona simply bolt it thru the tent to the roof beam where the 2 roof sides meet at thew peak.

But the tent fabric 1 i have to seal the hole the cable made in the fabric. 2 if it moves or rocks itll rip the hole bigger .

So i just wanted to sandwitch 2 peices of wood 1 on top 1 inside and then cable the top one to the roof.

And hang lights in the inside 1

Boom yeah exept it wud be main beam peak not rafter i think? Rafers the smaller ones leading down from the beams right that u insulate between. This is the bean big beam where this Light is



Can laff all ya want lol im sure id find it ammusing haha but il get it done somehow hahaha.
Ive died to get these i aint returnin em lol.
I move house soon il be out of tent then no problem so future proofing buy made hard now

Tent is like 7 yr old im due to bin it after this grow anyways full of pin holes.

Pvc pipe 80 like the drain pipe stuff ? Thats steong enough to hold lights in the heat ? Seriously ?

Problem is with that is it will block my doors also to acces the plants

Schedule 80 is thick walled pvc. If you get 19mm ID it should hold no problem. Ask the guy at your home improvement store.

If you build up the frame correctly, you shouldn't block anything.

Found it here in the uk now lol damb works out pricey as compared to mounting it to my beam.

I saw metal conduit too similar price id love to but its alnost same coat as a tent thay will support it lol

If a tent costs the same as good support, you may want to buy a better tent.

2 in each section.
Nah hot air rises bud if i put thay on floor id loose my sysyem and heats the room up more
Ty tho.

Think im gona go with the ridge beam hanging method
