Is it bad to let plants go uncovered when temps hit 34-35 ish?
Yes, that's too close to frostIs it bad to let plants go uncovered when temps hit 34-35 ish?
If I had some plastic sheeting over them, like a shitty cheap greenhouse, is that enough protection?Yes, that's too close to frost
Word! Thanks dude. Too close to harvest to fuck it up nowProbably. I used to have 8 foot pieces of 1/2" pvc that I would just shove into the ground, forming an arc over my veggies. Add plastic over that and you have a quick, shit greenhouse for a night
I let my plants endure above about 28F every year. I have never determined that it harmed them. I have never done a scientific test to compare. If anyone has I would like to know about it.Is it bad to let plants go uncovered when temps hit 34-35 ish?
I wouldn't leave them covered that will trap moisture and cause bud rotYa that was my concern, I just covered all of them and then tarped the plastic cover to be safe they are fine this morning, seemed nice and cozy on the inside of the tent. Temps won’t dip that low until after I harvest next week! Thanks for the help all
OK but if buds are touching plastic it will be an issueI took the cover off early this am only covered for maybe 7 hours and it’s a little greenhouse so there was enough ambient air I’m not choking them out, there was gaps for air
Nope, all good. I didn’t want any humidity to gather and rot the buds. Thanks for looking out!OK but if buds are touching plastic it will be an issue
