Nnkay then. Where there is smoke there is fire, why would he refuse U.N. inspectors to certain facilities, I thought he had no weapons?

How would you feel about people thinking they can come in and examine what you have? What if UN inspectors wanted to come in and go through your house? Would you want a warrant? I don't think the US can get a search warrant on Iraq, it doesn't work that way.
Maybe Al Queda might want to come here and inspect for weapons of mass destruction. I know it's dangerous for crazy people to have big bombs but who is the US do want to snoop around? Why are we the world police?
I'm sure the few weapons they might have come up with are no match for the huge stockpile we have. We have weapons that can shoot their weapons out of the sky.

Iraq isn't Saddam's house. He has no choice, do you even remember the Gulf War? He agreed to the treaty that says U.N. inspectors can examine what they want. He has no say on it, he lost the war.
We do not have weapons that can shoot their weapons out of the sky. We have a program in its infant stages that might hold the possibility of being our primary anti-missile system, however Obama wants to cut it, deeming it an "unnecessary expenditure", along with other military related finances.

No. We'd win the nuclear war, if you want to call that a win.
It wouldn't bring back all the dead.
If I had it my way, there would be no nukes. Or guns. I'd like to see warfare done with sword again, when you actually looked your enemy in the eye as you slew him, maybe then there wouldn't be so many wars.

So if we have enough bombs to completely destroy everything, why do we need to build more? Why can't we cut back on some of that spending?
I heard last night that some places are going to be closing libraries due to buget restraints. What should we worry more about bombs or libraries? I guess we'll be a nation of neanderthals in 100 years but at least we'll have bombs.

I don't think we are spending money on nuclear weapons anymore, in fact within the last 40-30 years we got rid of tens of thousands of them in our pacts with the USSR. Our military budget mainly goes into research and development. The average soldier takes about 20-30k to train.
So the democrats whine so much about military spending, however its mainly in use to save soldier's lives. Its the trade off I suppose, you decide if its worth it or not.
