Gotta have a laugh at some of the ideas about autos...Growing them for over 15 years, I've seen so many changes in the auto gene pool, some better than others and some have led to bad press....
When autos were first introduced, they were small in order to hide among other foliage. Super autos were a thing as breeders tried to improve by adding various photo traits...so then began the bastardization of the true auto world. Sure, now they're more potent and yeilds are much better but all the variations now can be a bit overwhelming and prone to failed grows due to unstable genetics. Stick with reputable breeders and check as much lineage as you can and autos have their place.
The real plus to me was the NON-REQUIREMENT of specific lighting...Oh I run a photo alongside my autos , of course on 12/12 and 15 years of doing it hasn't shown me any reason to change. I may miss a little yeild but I also miss out on the cost incurred.
