I run my plant under 400w hps at the temp of 28c 29c during day , with lights off she runs same temp no problem with 40% humidity. she perks all round, definitely strain dependent imo

I keep my temps around 72 degrees F with lights off, and 78-82 degrees F with lights on. Too cold with lights off and you invite mold and mildew problems. I keep the humidity between 45% and 65%, depending on the weather.

What’s the BEST temperature and humidity when growing indoor? (flowering)

Strain: Mango Kush
Light: 400 hps
Grow tent size: 90x90
Got 7 fans in there..

This is how she’s looking now..with the temperature we’ve been on.
Between 27c-16c (night, light off) humidity 28% - 50%

27c seems high for hps... my rule of thumb is...

24c for hps and 26c for led.

Drop it down to 20 or 22c for last few weeks to get denser buds.

Your plant looks quite happy tho. 27c would be max tho. Last grow I did in summer had a few days at 29 and it went a bit wrong just in q few days

I'm struggling with low temps at the moment without any addional heat.

As of now I'm at 25 lights on and 18 lights off.

They are 27 days of actual 12 12 switch and appear to be doing well.

I usually aim for 26 lights on and 20 lights out but always struggle come winter. I don't grow for a few months during winter so this will be my last until say Feb next year but the jars are always full which is a must.

I won't be adding any additional heating so it fingers crossed for the remaining 6 weeks or so. Always the same this time of year for me and I welcome the couple of months break.

If you have a change in heart soon or in the future, this heater is slim only takes up 5"x20" space on the floor and is about 17" tall.

In my experience so far you want to lower temp/rh gradually as you go through the entirety of the plants life. By the time your in the last two weeks of flower you should have temps between 70-75 lights on and 65 for lights off, RH between 45-50.

Germination/Seedlings: 80-85F, 70-80RH
Early Veg: 80F, 65-70RH
Late Veg: 80F, 65-60RH
Early Flower: 75-80F, 55-60RH
Mid Flower: 75F, 50-55RH
Late Flower: 70-75F, 45-50RH

Those temps are obv for lights on, I shoot for ~10F cooler with lights off. I also grow under LEDs, and leaf temp is normally 3-5F less than tent temp. I always check the temp of the plants to make sure they're not too hot.

Past cpl weeks have sucked here, got cold so I took the ACs out, then we had a bit of a heatwave, not much, but hot enough that I couldn't get under 70 at night. Looking good moving forward though, 10 days left on mine.

I won't be having a change of heart. I'm not complaining nor wish to change it because the plants will be fine at winter temps. It happens every winter so I'm very used to it.

Adding additional heat is not my aim, it's counter productive because heaters gobble electric and I welcome the few months break as I said.

I don't need the additional heat costs to enable me to grow in the height of winter because I grow enough during the rest if the year. Its my choice not to grow during winter and it makes no difference to my supply, I'm always well stocked up, I have some jars with weed in grown by me over 5 years old.

Winter is my rest time and once this grow is done I'm off til about Feb.

I know what I can do to rectify the winter problem but like fuck I will if it means adding additional heat at a noticeable cost to run.

I don't need to and save the extra cost because I ha e no need to actually grow in winter.

How they turn out man! And great advice i will follow, thanks. Im at week 7 flower and my babies look a lil sad but okay. Im thinking its keeping them at 40% RH since week 5 flower. Gonna boost it up to 50% and see if the leaves perk up

With led you wanna keep the room warmer. 26c by day and 23 by night until week 7 ish then reduce the night temps to 18 after that.

Plants actually grow bigger quicker at higher humidity but you risk mold... qnd they will not mature as quickly. For this reason I like to try and delay the reduction of humidity til week 7 almost straight down to 40%.

Works wonders under led

So looking at that VPD chart I have a question. I am running my flower room at 85 right now because its sueor hot here and i cant reasonably get it cooler.

From the looks of that, 70% humidity would be ideal. But then would that not invite mold issues in flowering?

Totally new to the vod. Concept so thank you!
