It doesnt go in the garbage.. My indoor rootballs get scattered around the outside of my house and my outdoor patch holes just get absorbed back into the earth.

That is what I do. It gets used as a mulch in our garden. If I have too much then it goes in the garden waste compost bin and gets taken by the local Council.
