Hey everyone. My soil PH is at 7.2-7.4. I think there’s too much. Dolomite in the mix. How can I lower the PH of my medium? Thanks

Did you top dress with the dolomite to raise it and it went up too high?
If so can you scoop up the first inch or 2 of soil and replace it with fresh soil?

he may have watered it deep into the soil counter acting the base with an acid would help but dolomite is slowly released making it hard to counter once applied.

sulfur
So would I be good to go using this from my local Home Depot? It’s the same brand as the dolomite I use. I’m just unsure how much sulfur to use

How much soil are we talking about here? Best idea would be to start with fresh soil rather than make drastic PH alterations. You don't want to set yourself up for an uphill battle from day one.

start small with a tiny top dress, water in, wait, if needed apply more. use 1/2 what they recommend, as with the dolomite its easier to add more then remove. I also second using fresh soil if possible, if your in flower chalk it up as experience for next go
dolomite did the same thing to me i used to much and lost the soil acidity, was easier to start fresh

I’m already in week 3 of flower. It’s too late for that.

I don’t know what stage you’re in or how big your plants are. But could you just amend some soil on the side get it where you want, then transplant?
