Were you watering your plants too often? Before I wised up, saturated medium caused my early grows to become infested with gnats and mites.
I was suffocating the roots and providing an all you can eat smorgasbord for the little bastards.

Those fungus gnats were in the soil your probably using fox farms there’s an added pest bonus in every bag. Fox farms even has overwintered spider mite eggs in it but it’s much less common, than there normal thrip and fungus gnat eggs and larvae.

Use pest off blocks for 2 weeks then out them backnin a sealed bag for next time. You don't want them aboutnif you don't have to have them voz they arent great for your health.... they kill everything reliably tho.

I got rid of Mine by using neem oil and insecticide soaps that didn't work so I covered it with sand 1/2 inch thick that got rid of it

Horticulture Sand / Bottom watering system .
Sand block egg laying - yellow stickies pull remaining adults. Bottom water keeps top soil from getting too wet for egg laying.

Mites - go with heavy ISO / Water mix ( I use everclear GRAIN ) when i had to battle the borg.
I mixed 50 / 50 with drops of dawn to “ smother “ .
This mix evaporates on leaf quickly but mites are shriveled / discolored and dead. It will kill clinging eggs. Then a water mist washing to dislodge corpses. Plant was fine from mix , but do not spray buds as it will burn up triches and pistils.

For those that got “ stuck “ into flowers , simple dunk bud washing ( vids on yt ) takes care of that.

if i had spider mites or anything like that i would throw away the whole crop and start fresh, you need to make sure your environment is clean
