600 watt hps?

would it be adviseable if possible to switch from a 400 watt hps to a 600 in say week 6 of flower or could that damage my plants? should i finish these with the 4 and use the 6 on my next grow?

I did the same thing went from my mars 1000 to ipower 600w never looked back

Raise it a little bit for a few days and then bring it down to optimal height.

Ya, I'd do it now, but I'd start it a little higher at first and slowly lower it just to be extra gentle to her.

What size space and what are your temps?

my landlord pays the electric but i think 1000 watt would be pushing my luck lol

its a pretty big space and my temps with the 400 are between 75 and 79 f lights on top of canopy

600w is like 30$ a month on the high end could be alittle could be alot to him id run less wattage if im not fitting the bill

Your temps are good now but you dont want to go any higher. I would stick with the 400 unless you can keep those temps with the 600.

I think you will be fine but it will get warm i need to pull in cold air in winter for cooling however i have 2 600s but when I had just the 1 fixture it was easy to cool off

edit : might be easier to pull heat away from that area instead I build a cheap exhaust fan with a 6in ducting 6in fan and lots of duct tape

edit 2 : also your renting so you probably can't start cutting holes into things, so just exhaust the hot air away into another corner of the room if that's the only place to dump it
