.... but i am worried about cold as it is quite cold up in loft especially at the mo
You might already have a plan for this, but I don't see it mentioned.

What are your cold and hot temps max and min, for winter and summer?

How will you keep the space warm enough during lights out? How will you keep it cool enough in summer during lights on?

If it's super cold, I'd be worried the space is exposed to outside conditions which means dry air in winter and humid in summer.

You will possibly need to humidify in winter as the outdoor humidity drops, and probably need to dehumidify in summer when it comes back up.

For now, at least consider what your lowest temps will be when lights are off and plan accordingly for a heater of some sort.

Just out of curiosity, is there a purpose behind removing the fan's front face ( second pic )? That looks like something smart to do that I haven't thought of yet. Is it so that there's no dust building up on it?
Took it off to clean it and yeah... was like... why do I need this?... didn't clean it... never put it back on. In theory it could be ever so slightly quieter... probably not by much.

Depends where you are... I have to dehumidify in winter coz it rains here every day. In summer its fine.

The dehu also creates heat... and I supplement the led lights with a cmh to increase heat too. Loft is a pain in the ass tho... I would avoid if I could. So many things to think about.... insulation, heating, exhaust, how your canna get water up there, how you deal with waste water. Its all a ball ache
