I have one issue with your plan. I applaud the desire , skill, ability and pocket depth. Dream come true here. I must rain on the parade. You need to grow first. Master that before you possibly fail at a high cost. Start small and expand as your skills do. Just weeds until you bring them indoors. And if you employ help? Don't rely on them until a cycle or two. Just things I've learned. Don't jump until you know how to not hit the bottom thing. Best wishes and grow tips from a home grower if needed. Keeping things in perspective. My wife would kill me.
I kept trying to type this out but kept sounding like a dick. 100% agree though.
I will add one other thing, take it or leave it but I feel it has to be said. This is not directed at you personally but you are also not the first and won't be the last person who sees legalization as their ticket to riches.
You might just see it as a money making opportunity but there are people that rely on this for their medicine both physical and mental.
When people are growing solely for making money, they are more often willing to cut corners and use products that might get more yield, but at the expense of sacrificing someone's health. This is only going to be more true as big corporations get into the game and drive prices lower and it gets harder to make a dollar.
Im not saying there is anything wrong with selling herb and making money off if it. But someone who loves the plant and what it represents is going to be willing to sacrifice quality over quantity.
I think long term having this attitude is going to let you weather rough patches of losing an entire crop to pests or mold (happens to all of us at one point or another), as well as be able to generate a better product that you can charge more for. I also personally think the only business model I would personally invest in is a "farm to table" where u can produce and sell direct to your customers. Otherwise you are going to be selling a commodity that Altria and the big VC companies will control within 3-4 years
Lots of people paved the way for this opportunity to present itself. Theres a lot more to growing 32 lbs of herb than buying lights dirt and seeds.. Please respect that is all I am asking.
