Is it possible to dim the sf1000d?
No the new D models can't be dimmed. :/ bummerIs it possible to dim the sf1000d?
Why the fuck wouldn’t they put a dimming switch on a brand new light? Serious question. No the new D models can't be dimmed. :/ bummer
I'm not sure I just read it on the thread from spiderfarmer about the new models coming soon. Lol. Most likely the style of diode isnt capable idk lolWhy the fuck wouldn’t they put a dimming switch on a brand new light? Serious question.
I'm guessing it's the diode too.I'm not sure I just read it on the thread from spiderfarmer about the new models coming soon. Lol. Most likely the style of diode isnt capable idk lol
Daisy chain.Better question, why are you trying to dim a 100w light? I sprout under a 315 cmh at 100%
Cause its cheaper with no dimmer. SF is not what you call a topshelf light maker. Why the fuck wouldn’t they put a dimming switch on a brand new light? Serious question.
Its not the diode, its the power supply. Samsung diodes can run up to 200ma and down to reaaaal low, actually i dont think theres a lower limit.I'm not sure I just read it on the thread from spiderfarmer about the new models coming soon. Lol. Most likely the style of diode isnt capable idk lol
Run sf series along with a hlg r spec. No difference in the plants. But to each their own, power supply makes senceCause its cheaper with no dimmer. SF is not what you call a topshelf light maker.

I just figured the "d" in sf1000d might've meant dimmer.. lolMakes sense.
I watched hygrohybrid run both and they both did well, but I do feel hlg is better quality. $89.00 for what sf is advertising might be worth a shot though.Run sf series along with a hlg r spec. No difference in the plants. But to each their own, power supply makes sence
I urge you to ask Spiderfarmer, they are on the forum. You can tag them by using the @Spiderfarmerled handle. See if you can get some sense from them.I just figured the "d" in sf1000d might've meant dimmer.. lol
I did. They answered this morning. The only said it's not dimmable. No other explanation. Seems like they're kinda secretive about it. I think I'm just gonna pull the trigger on it and see if it's as good as they say.I urge you to ask Spiderfarmer, they are on the forum. You can tag them by using the @Spiderfarmerled handle. Still not understanding why you need to dim it.... even a 2x2 area is only getting 25w/sqft.Daisy chain.
It's the diode itself. Id personally get the regular ones with the dimmer. Heres a list of the diodes and the differences. The dimmed model has the lM301B the sf D lights have these lm301d'sI just figured the "d" in sf1000d might've meant dimmer.. lol
Im really not sure where youre getting this info from: no mention of lm301d on the Spiderfarmer website, only mentions "samsung diodes".It's the diode itself. Here's a reply from spiderfarmer on amazon stating the lm301d diodes, first reply. The regular sf series are the better light. Also the d doesnt have meanwell drivers.Im really not sure where youre getting this info from: no mention of lm301d on the Spiderfarmer website, only mentions "samsung diodes".
Also i count around 232 (and maybe 220 of then white) diodes on that board. The lm301d is a 0.2w mid power, in this case its being driven around 0.4w (100w/220 is almost 0.4) it does not make any sense at all, youre saying a 0.2w diode cannot be driven at 0.2w. Please check again.
No... sorry... someone mentioned it so I just thought maybe that made sense for the "d" in the sf1000dIm really not sure where youre getting this info from: no mention of lm301d on the Spiderfarmer website, only mentions "samsung diodes".
