But they essentially condone the anti-christian policies. To be clear, I'm anti-religion, but I try to live my life by the words of Jesus of Nazareth, I don't call him the christ and I don't worship him. Most of what he said was already said by others

I fight that inclination every day. It's hard to be christian, given our human nature.
. Treat others as you would have them treat yourself. There is no other "commandment" needed.
Im not anti-religion, but am not religious at all.

I look at it as a early form of government which had to come up with a way to help people see a set of guidelines of how to self govern.

I give religion a lot of credit for advancing humanity early on, but it is used now by conmen to keep power and I do not like that at all, but it is not the fault of the religion.

Or just didn't see the flaws when they decided what to put down on paper.

The southern baptist church my dad would drag me to got really sick of me as a kid.

As did my ex step mom's Jehovah Witness family members who I had trying to convert me before that.

Pretty sure it was a Catholic church we went to when I was really young.

There's a lot of good advice in the Old Testiment. Advice for raising children and one's own behavior, it's not all religious dogma. There are a lot of "books" that were left out, though. That is the result of political factions within each religion. All written by man and put together by man.

My understanding is the Old Testament really was meant to be the law as it were. Handed down by a god I don’t understand.
The New Testament is god saying ok I didn’t mean to be so hard on you and here’s your chance at salvation.
Idk it is what it is. God knows I’m not religious but I try to mirror god. I know I fall short, waaaay short but that’s ok.

I was born, raised, educated in the Catholic religion. To this day, I don't know when to stand, kneel, sit during the ceremony known as Mass. I just follow the others around me, when I used to "accompany" my mom. I could never participate in something I didn't believe in, even as a kid.

We went to southern Baptist and I swear the devil (or my brain) told me no, no, that’s not true.
When we were older my brother and I were allowed to sit by ourselves. Which meant we were across the street smoking.

A favorite from Jesus of Nazareth is "you are gods", said to his disciples. I take that and mix it with quantum theory.

Walked out of the Anglican (epsotaplian) as a kid, was sent to church not taken, more as a supplement to education and I was active in cubs and scouts, all church based then. My parents were uneducated, from the out ports of newfoundland and immigrated to Canada after the war and became citizens after confederation with Canada in 1948 by referendum. My dad worked with some black men from the Bahamas and he was real friends with one fellow, they had much in common.

When I moved to Winnipeg I worked with a lot of black guys from the Caribbean, the leftovers of the British empire as it were. I had much in common with them and religion and education were similar to mine, they were good guys, family men with a different more open attitude than many black people who were raised in white majority places. If 7 out of 10 white people hate you enough to vote for Trump, a lifetime of social and emotional assault, leaves it's mark. These men grew up in majority black countries or colonies, not a society dominated by those who hate them. I've found many of their kids who grew up here with American TV and media are more like American and Canadian black people who grew up here too, bigotry and racism leave many marks, some gross, some more subtle.

Waiting on northern hash plant shatter to be delivered at any time. :eyesmoke:
@Fogdog is probably teaching atm. And idk where @Jimdamick is. @DIY-HP-LED is in Canada so we’ll have to FaceTime.
James is sending me some seeds to try and I've got a 6 plant harvest coming in a few weeks, timed for Christmas gift delivery. White widow and some OG Kush, used to grow CBD for clients, but demand fell off after the craze, I'll buy another clone if someone needs it, but I got a half pound of 22% CBD 1% THC laying around.

Just got 2 mail order white widow clones, different genetics, they claim 30%, but we will see what the lab says one day.

Challenges met make ya shine, everybody knows the mess Trump left, and from what I've seen of Joe's team the contrast will be shocking and will make some American history, long term. Joe has the tools to lick this thing falling into his hands as he is assuming power, another 95% effective vaccine was announced today with less logistical issues than the first one. Antibody therapeutics should be having an impact by then too, provided the numbers can be kept down to reasonable levels. If hospitals are overwhelmed mortality rates go from .5% or less to 10 and 15% and people needing regular hospitalization die too. That's when the brakes go on and shit closes down no matter how red the state and how many morons are living there.
