yeah it would be, but mine will be a bone-in center cut loin; sides will be root veggies(beets, rutabaga, etc). Rosemary, garlic and mandarin slices all over the roastPorchetta sounds good, maybe.

My ex made a goose one Xmas, it was good but she used all the fat/drippings for gravy and we all got monster heart burn; way too much fat lolall kidding aside, how do you do your goose? my grandma used to do it in the oven wrapped in many layers of cheesecloth. as it cooked, she'd take off a layer at a time. i guess the cloth soaked up all the fat?
Yeah they're a bit pricey. I'm not sure how much we paid I'll have to get back to you on that.our safeway carries geese but man are they pricey. like 35 to 45 bucks per. i'd love to cook one but i don't want to mess it up.
Usually this time of year I'm cooking up a storm. I have some pork belly in the freezer maybe I'll just make some Mu Grob (thai crispy pork belly)yeah it would be, but mine will be a bone-in center cut loin; sides will be root veggies(beets, rutabaga, etc). My mom always made a Syrup pie. It was a holdover from the depression. It tasted a lot like a Pecan pie sans pecans.View attachment 4746432
Sweet potato has to be in the running in the south though...

This used dark Karo syrup, sugar, flour and butter. I guess it would be good for people with nut allergies.Sounds like Old fashioned cream pie yum I don’t think there’s anything in it except sugar.
