This must be a major issue with most grows cause I have the same prob. !!! Not so much, but does happen in my rdwc(4 pot, 5 gal pail - 8-10 gl res) but trying to clone and holey fck ! hard water(260-349ish +-) put through ro filter and still the water is 5-12 ppm to start then I add to 1L wtr- 1ml calmg ph'd to 5.8ish , air stone. with in hrs its up to 6.8 and rising as high as 8ish ??? natural ph down(made for plnts) the shit out of it and it still keeps rising . I read to just keep using ph down until it stabilizes but how much is to much??
Now Im trying the same set up but no air stone ? I read the stone might add to the prob? Ill try anything lol.
I find it hard to get my clones started with the ph fluctuating so much. they stay alive but take foreeeever to root !!
Happy grows ppl Ill report back if I figure anything out .

Yeah I have found that too much pressure into the air stones will for sure raise your ph. Same with the bubble cloner. Roots faster with not so much air. I guess there just too wet when there’s lots of air.

Use ph perfect nutes and dont use ur ph pen at all change ur res once a wk job done no issues
I use advance products only . my 4 pail rdwc system runs fine once I get it dialed in ec and ph stay static or minor variance in ph usually up never past 6 . NOW I have tried everything I can think of with my cloning attempts ?? same pail as my dwc system with misting sprays, plastic seedling tray with humidity dome, glass container all with ph'd RO water with 1ml cal/mg pinch of voodo juice. and an air stone. Within hrs the ph rises as high as 8+??
I tried no air stones, distilled water( ph is low 6 when I start) and nothing seems to stop the rise in ph Anyone know y this happens ???

On another topic WOW I just installed my new TS3000 and it actually made the girls perk right up !! It replaced a TS1000 surrounded by 4 blurple 300w, did the job nicely for a few grows but after 24hrs with the new light on the girls are at attention and praying to the sun Gods LOL !! Im impressed. Everything is wire but the drivers come loose with enough wire to mount them away from the main board or outside the room for heat reasons. Its heat that kills LED's. the drivers dont get that hot but still mounted them on the wall to take some heat away from the chips .
VERY satisfied with this light.

Ph perfect crap that's what cured the prob why would I ditch the problem solver
Ph perfect is just a headache... get a traditional line of nutes and you shouldn't fight ph so much.
In addition, ph will naturally rise because of air pumps. Thats why you don't see the ph rise when the water sits outside the system.
I'd reccomend picking up General Hydro line maybe, or Cultured solutions.
Then, if you really want to make life easy for yourself, spend some money on a ph doser

I have one of these and love it.

Also, op, the hydroguard will raise your pH with the quickness.
