Maybe I'm too embroiled in a struggle with neo-fascists in the US to want to pick a fight with people who are more or less on my side. Maybe I'm too willing to let slide some comments he's made because I don't see him as a threat.

You seem to post such things, alcohol harms more than those who abuse it, that drug in particular harms families and children. These images abuse the people who are pictured, but that comes with fame and living a public life, when they are no longer public and down in their lives people take vicarious pleasure from it and such people don't really deserve or need the derision. It cheapens it for when we use it on the likes of Trump and his henchmen, they are responsible for mass tragedy and death, not these poor bastards, there is a difference.

Deride the evil bastards all you want, the common drunks and druggies are victims of society and of themselves and in some cases their nature, some are born more susceptible than others. In AA you will find some of the best people, who have behaved the worst while in the grip of alcohol and lost control of their emotions and thus their lives. There are ways to gain control of our emotions and thus our minds, habit still has its grip, like any conditioning. We are really one big habit our personalities are really habits and preferences conditioned by life experience, it's why you automatically put on your socks in the morning without thinking much about it. You become what you do, first we make our habits, then our habits make us.

Yeah, that was striking to me too. He was growing a very nice and classic Kissinger-style double chin under that crappy beard. But Kissinger was over 60 when his double chin started wagging while he waddled. Jr is what? 40-something?

If you want, I can drag some of those posts forward so that we can review your shitty attitude towards "others" in Canada but I'd rather not. I have a real threat to face here and haven't nearly as much energy as you do for criticizing a country in which I don't live.

I do recall you saying you were going to go away after the election. Not that I'm inviting you to go but you did say something like that.

No, actually he reminded me of some particularly racist and bigoted things you posted earlier in the summer. He's right. By your own hand you showed that you have a problem with racism but you are Canadian and so can't be a bad person.
