Hard water... is water that contains an appreciable quantity of dissolved minerals (like calcium and magnesium). Soft water... is treated water in which the only ion is sodium.
Use RO water bro.... No hard water. My 2 cents screw hard water and buy a cal mag supplement

Which one would you recommend? Why not hard water? Man, this is why I ditched my 25 gal planted aquarium. Too much work. In planted tanks hardwater is bad too because of algae issues but the light is hitting the water.

So assume theirs Ca in that water.As said above 150 ppm food 50 calmag plus tap.=400 ppm total is a good start.

Yes. You can try straight RO. Add more calmag 5 ml gallon+ but I don’t think you need to.
